I totally get it, but to publicly say it makes no sense. Why put unecessary pressure on your team? - kindlyrick
Well he was asked who he'd prefer to play in an interview. Kind of tough to just skip the question. |

I get it and he gave an honest answer.........perhaps im just not used to that. Im used to either silence, or the formula response. "Whoever we play we gotta work hahhhhhd" |

If I play Michael Jordan 1 on 1, do I have a 50/50 chance of winning? - LetsGoIsles
If there are 50 Jordans, yes |

And he said the difference came down to the goaltender, without halak, I can't disagree with him. I don't see Florida as any easier than the pens to be honest. Either way I don't expect much without halak and hamonic. |

Good then don't watch. They seem to win when you leave early or don't watch |

Lol, I'll still be cheering for them every game but my expectations are low, however if it's going poorly I may try to turn the tide by turning it off |

If this team wins out remaining games and we play the Pens, Idc bc at least the team may have momentum going into PO's that we'd barely saw down the stretch....
I know the Pens are a hot team right now but I'm not scared bc there's familiarity btw both clubs and Fleury is not that good in the PO's....
Hamonic would be my only concern bc he tends to annoy Malkin so hammer needs to play for any chance of advancing.... |

having hamonic play would be huge, that would allow us to put him on malkin and boychuk on crosby. Hamonic does have a history of setting Malkin off and causing him to play angry, taking some silly penalties. if we roll out boychuk on crosby and then have to put hickey on malkin I don't like our chances much.

Leddy should shadow Crybaby......
edit: meant Boychuk/Leddy should face 1st line of Pens |

I think having leddy/boychuk against crosby is key due to their speed and boychuk's experience/physicality
it'll suck if we're missing one of (or both) of hamonic and dehaan. pelech getting back in form would be a better option than zidlicky or strait and pulock needs to be in the lineup, that shot is a weapon.

Hey, im all for that trade proposal that Oiler fan presented yesterday....
So unless (in a way) Oilers Gm pony's up, very few teams have young top dmen available to trade off..... |

I have no issue with that trade. Have to think something gets done between the Isles/Oilers at the draft. |

I love Nelson but to swap 1st's to make the trade even, I'm all for it. I know it may seem like underpayment but in fairness is somewhat fair of how he described it... |

anyone see the tweet from staple last night:

Looks like #Isles first 2 home playoff games (likely G3 and G4) will be tough to fit in -- Barclays Ctr has boxing 3 of 4 nights 4/16-19. |

This is good news. I'm fine giving Cal or de Haan more time to heal. I'm thinking Greiss gets only one more game before the playoffs? |

I love Nelson as well, but I would make that deal to swap the #1 picks. I do not see the Oilers doing it though. |
