Deep breaths gang. After playing so many games, having 2 consecutive days off will lead to a team coming out sluggish. Let's see how they look as the game goes on before we panic.

One goal down but between the effort I saw and these refs my hopes are minimal. Wow, that was an ugly period of hockey.

Flyers might need to man up physically. Do to Datsuyk what they're doing to Jake.

Christ, a bunch of babies in here.

The Flyers don't look great nor do the Wings. There's 40 minutes left and plenty of time for both teams to pick up their play.

(frank)ing right. They should pick it up a bit they are not quite at detroits level of urgency.

He was a great tanking artist. I will always respect him for that. Just has no clue how to build

What skills do you need to be a tanking artist, besides assembling a bunch of poopbags?

Jake getting outmuscled off the puck by Kyle (frank)ing Quincey summed up that period.

Jake isn't going to magically get it back this year.

Jake looked great out there. He's fighting along the board, like he does in every game. Just not getting the separation he needs. That'll happen as the game wears on. I must be watching a different game than everyone else...

He really did a great job in positioning the team to tank and acquire premium picks and draft positioning. He had the balls and the creativity to sell it.

He just has no (frank)ing clue what to do with the assets or how to properly develop the talent

LOL. Even Douchebury was able to see that was a hook. Kept calling it cagey veteran play from Richards until pressed and then said it was "absolutely" a hook. (frank) it. The Fyers will find high gear in the second frame. Pissed off Clode will have a hand in things. Book it.

You'd think we were down 5-0 judging by the comments. It's 1-0 and that goal was scored because of a puck dump, with a fortunate bounce, an obvious uncalled penalty (on Detroit), topped with a flukey lob over Mason's shoulder.

All in all, the game is pretty even and the Flyers look like they definitely need to get their legs underneath them.

Im not seeing near the level of strength or explosiveness from Jake ad he had last year. He would take the puck routinely and roar up the ice setting up a premium chance, He's clearly bothered by the injury

It looks like both teams are playing a little nervous, but it pretty even.

I'm looking for the Flyers to come out with a purpose, score an early goal, and begin to take over the game.

I think next season was the year to judge where his plan was going. If they saw no direction after next season I'd be okay with moving on.

I'm just pissed because if/when a lot of the moves he's made start to pan out he'll get zero credit from the haters

most of whom didnt give a poop about the sixers for the last 15 years anyway while they were getting bounced in the first or second round, yet complained about an actual rebuild

This isn't a must win. Even with a regulation loss, they still control their own destiny.
- PLindbergh31

1 point tonight and 2 tomorrow and a Detroit win over Boston puts them 3 points up on Boston with the Flyers having the Pens and isles and Boston having Ottawa at home.

Hell, I lost interest in the Sixers when they traded Moses. Yeah, Jeff (frank)ing Ruland will replace him. What a joke.

They are being out played again. They look a step or two behind. The ice seems bad. That was a frustrating period of hockey. The really need to step it up.

I get that basketball isn't the easiest of the sports to rebuild because of the need of a stud player but at what point do you need to start improving? he just constantly flipped players in hopes he eventually hit on a stud. I don't know, I am not a basketball fan thankfully altho I root for all that is Philly but if I was an avid fan like I am with the Flyers I would lose my mind following them. they went from years of mediocre basketball to 3 years of drek with no end in sight

I don't know, Crims -- we'll see if these pieces fit.

I'm not a hater. I wanted them to win. I lost faith when the guy couldn't identify a PG and had to have Colangelo come in and tell him to get one
