So Jack would've been fairly close if he managed to put up assists like he is now in the first 30 games.

Habs prospect pool is pretty thin, they need a high draft pick this year.

Ours took a hit last fall. Gotta trust the GMTM being a EX head scout. He still is scouting players .

id like to bring up a little conversation...how does everyone feel about all the mysterious blackhawk fans popping up. I have a few friends (on fb) that seem to have pledged their allegiance to chicago. Its always fishy to me. They seems like genuine fans, not the "look at my smart phone during the game kind of crowd" but it still makes me wonder if they were ever there during times of hardship. Is it okay to start watching hockey and immediately like the best team? Its obviously human nature but it just kind of annoys me that they probably dont have the same loyalty as sabres fans. Replace Chicago with Patriots and Sabres with Bills if youd like.

They're band wagoners. My daughter lived in Chicago and said with football, basketball and baseball, hockey is last.

Well i know what the term is, but i guess im just wondering if theyll stick around after the team isnt good enough to win 3 stanley cups in 6 years.

Did it really though? Players drafted in the last 3 drafts playing on the Sabres roster. Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, Girgensons, McCabe, Fasching and you could even add Nelson to the list. We're just in the transition phase where all our top end prospects are actually playing nightly in the NHL and should be for years and years to come.

Does he get that if he's paired with 23 from day one?

With 2.5M people, I'm sure there will always be enough fans.

And his next batch should be ready for when we need them in a few years .

Don't forget, they have 2 baseball teams too.

I'm a Sabres fan first, but a Hawks fan second. I guess you could call me a bandwagon fan if you want. My love of the Blackhawks stems from my love of Toews.

We want you too ourselves

Congrats on what? The extra work? Because I'm not even a little bit excited about it. I had enough to contend with everyday. Now I get to do even more and for no extra perks or rewards. It's awful.

Or have a consistent 2nd winger with any talent.

i dont know...i really think that they both took time to develop as well as develop the chemistry. What im getting at is probably not, but hes found his game and i think will be as good as or better than kane.

Scoring is down compared to what it was when Kane was a rookie as well. I'm sure that will have had some sort of impact on the difference in numbers. Eichel has done as well as anyone could have really expected of him this year.

There are plenty of areas he could work on, but there's no denying that he's a special player. It's going to be fun to watch him for a very long time.

So much for a top 10 pick.
- sskkoo1

Odds of getting top pick at #7 is 6.5%, odds at #10, 3.5%. I'll take the 3.5% with the kids learning to win. I've studied the prospects in-depthly and the difference from #4 through around #12 isn't a lot. There's a ton of top line talent there.

It was needed. Haven't had much time overall lately. Things have been crazy busy in my life in general (not that it's a bad thing). I find it hard to even spend quality time with my dog at times.

Did you actually miss the game, or are you just saying that because of how boring it was? Even the players didn't hold back after the game. Johnson said it was boring unbidden, and a few others said it was boring after being asked about it.
