With the way he handled lines and such this year it is all on him. Anytime something went wrong he panicked and went back to what worked when they over achieved, which didn't work. I think Coga pointed out very early in the season that he was gonna bring the team down from the way he was handling things.

I love it. He got all this praise when they did well under him and now that he's back to earth it's fun to watch. That and I've always disliked Roy but that's not the point.

I mean we all got happy when Patty became part of the organization. I understand they hype and then he had a team that did way better than anyone expected. Now has come back down, but i really can't get over him calling out his best player. WHO IS A KID! Is Byslma calling out Eichel and Sam for celebrating goals when we are not in the playoffs and losing games? They are kids gaining confidence, and a 30 goal season in the NHL nowadays IS something to be proud of. He will never get that moment again and Roy ruined it for him D-BAG

Pacioretty is significantly better defensively. If he's available I'd be all for it.

I have nothing against the Avs but, personally, I want him to stay just so he can mess up again.

Speaking of coaches, who gets that Jack Adams this year? I know it won't be Bylsma, but the numbers are great from last year to this. 11 more wins, 25 more points, 35 more goals, 59 less against, +94 goal differential from last year. It's worth a look. I'd assume Trotz would get it, no?

Trotz will get a nod for sure. Peters in Carolina should get some love, he did a great job with a team of scrubs. Gallant in Florida should get some nods as well

Lindy deserves some thought

Locking up the backup position with Johnson for more than two years may really hurt us with our goalie prospects. We have Ullmark, Petersen, Kasdorf, and Johanson that will be expecting a serious look at over the next few seasons. If Lehner proves to be our #1 moving forward, I'd rather have these guys as backups, and playing at the NHL level to show themselves off for future trade bait, than have to send them away at AHL values.

I'd personally rather have security. I know what Johnson brings to the table, there's no guarantees with any of those kids.
I don't like worrying about "what if's" when we already have someone capable in our hands. It's not the right way to think when it comes to building a playoff team.
If one of our prospect goalies gets that good, trade Johnson, waive Johnson, Buyout Johnson or trade the prospect goalie. not a bad problem to have.

He does, I think he might be the guy that comes out of the West...not too many stunning coaching jobs in the West this season, but he has done the most.

Trotz, Lindy or Boudreau (overcoming that junk start), then down to the Peters/Gallant type of guys
