Because global warming has been proven false by people who aren't paid to say its real? Ice caps are bigger according to NASA, and it was hotter in the 50s-70s.

We were averaging just over 2 goals a game before Malkin was hurt. Since his injury we are averaging 5 goals a game.

Its not like we are really battling at this point. We are plastering teams and really don't have to play in the third period. So How does going .500 and having to try to win games expend less energy than burying teams by the second period and going on cruse control for 1/3 of the game? Playing with a lead is always easier on the body.

1) Caps have not been trending down. The Caps have been staying the course.
2) Sounds like sour grapes since the Isles have not only been playing like poop, but now with Halak and Hamonic are done the year, you know your boys are dunzo.

I'm sure it will be sweet for non-pens fans. I don't know whether or not the Pens will make to the conference finals, let alone the cup, but I do know it's great to watch them defying the odds right now and being on the right track to being a powerhouse again.

I'm pretty sure that's not 100% accurate. I'd really like to see the stats. The Kings got super hot the year they won their first cup. The Bolts and Rangers were both pretty hot last year going into the playoffs.

The answer is NO! Reason the leafs get there first round pick this year and after tethering at the 16th and last playoff spot all year which was perfect for the leafs with the kessel deal they are now destined to win the stanley cup so the leafs can get that much sought after 30th pick! More leafs draft day luck!!! eg...Niedermayer, Larsson, Seguin, Hamilton, Mcdavid!!
