Hey I don't like it either. Blow of steam all you want. They sucked so bad at the start of the season that I can't get too worked up about them anymore.

The pens are just this good right now. Sucks we have yet 1 more game against them. But they are fast and executing at a high high level. Kings with Vinny might be the only prayer in the league to slow this freight train

Yea I'm irrational. That's so it. I said briere was done back in 2012, got laughed at, he got bought out a year later, that summer due to the signings and trades, predicted the state of this team over the next 3 seasons, again laughed at. If by irrational you mean refusing to celebrate mediocrity then we are in agreement.

Should you not have such expectations for the best goalie in the AHL the last two years, and the holder of the single season shutout records (most and consecutive time) while down there?

I think it'd be odd to not expect Murray to become elite.

I think the Flyers lineup and how it's been performing and winning games against Tampa, Washington DC, Detroit, etc., is a good matchup for the most part against those teams / systems. With the Penguins though I feel like Philadelphia really has to alter their personnel to be able to hang. Swap out Manning for Medvedev. Swap out VandeVelde for Weal. Even alter the lines completely to balance out speed and skill throughout.

As they are now - they can't hang at all with this Pens team. Speed kills and combining that with the Pens puck possession and swarming forechecking / backchecking - you can see plain as day that Philly has nothing going on all afternoon.
