We need a few high end players. I don't mind the one year brain fart at all.

It might be 2 years but I appreciate your optimism.

It could be . If it is another year or two of sucking , that's ok , but I think a healthy team will compete for the PO next year.

I agree, plus with all this cap Benning must have something up his sleeve, but like you said injuries stacked against this team, its a good sign though when a top 4 dman gets injured (hamhuis) and a rookie who was top 6 can come in and handle the top 4 roll, shows for good signs ahead. I strongly disagree with people saying were going into a 3-6 year rebuild

As mentioned a few times on here, we are sort of like heading into next year as year three of the rebuild. I look what Boston did this year, that is how I see it going for us next year.

I don't think we will carry as many young players as we did this year. I think JM JV will play on Comets. I think Vey and Etem will be spares. Who knows let's wait and see , but that's how I see it.

Yeah no way is Mccann going to be on the roster next year, i hope we can find a bigger center for the 4th line center, although hes not the biggest even gagner wouldnt be awful at a low price.

Let's hope so. A healthy team should at least challenge for a wild card if all the stars & planets align.

Yeah he does, i was just assuming that the Canucks wanted to keep him at LW i know hes been playing center the last few games, but if he was a full time center i would not mind that.

Gaunce could likely be the 4th line centre if there are no backward steps over the summer or at training camp.

I agree, I also think a healthy team would of been right there with Minny/Colorado this year as well.

I'm not sure the team will look much different though next year and I'm okay with that. Send the kids to the AHL and bring them up as injuries or play dictate.

It looks like JB had made some good picks, hard part now is development.

That wouldnt be bad, i could see Gaunce motivated this summer to get better. If Sutter is with the Sedins, Bo would probably be second line center at the start, would that make Granlund the third line center?

I hope so, every year he improves despite generally being written off. IMO the developments path he has taken is preferable to McCann/Virtanen this year. Horvat was able to do its so hard to make this league as a teen-ager.

I don't see Sutter with the twins, see him as 2nd line and Bo as 3rd line. Granlund would be the centre playing wing until needed to fill a centre roll due to inevitable injury.

At trade deadline we were a few points away from a playoff spot with a injured , rookie saturated Canuck team.

We played most of the year with stars like Prust Higgins Vrbata Weber Bartowski and a disappointing Burrows . Our roster will be better next year

- VANTEL

Whats do you think the plan is for him? He is going into the last year of his contract. With a small salary. I don't want him to be part of the team anymore but if they could use him for half a season next year and then get something for him. Allow another player to develop down in the minors.

That would be my guess.
- Marwood

Who will be the 4th then?

I would prefer Van not to go too young too fast as they did this year. Prefer not to see another rookie make the team unless it's a D or one of the top 3

I am guessing Burrows and Hamhuis are gone. I think Benning wants to complete the change from the old core to his new look Canucks

Tried to edit my response quickly. I guess I wasn't fast enough. I didn't read it carefully and failed to register Sutter with the Sedins.

I don't think Hamhuis fits into the future even for a year or 2 to let someone else develop. Not even for the "right" price.

Hutton, Tanev, Tryamkin should be built upon. Find players that will help them excel.

If Sutters not with the twins i hope they sign/trade for someone else. Id like Hansen to play the year with Baertchi/Horvat think that would be a solid all around line.

Sedin
Sutter
Horvat
Granlund

McCann in the minors playing top 6 minutes but if injury comes he could slot into any.

I don't think Suttrr ends up playing wing unless McCabb forces his way back in or we get Matthews. Hansen had been too good with the sedins to separate.
