So ... Capuano made mention in his post game interview on MSG.com about when you play a "healthy" Pittsburgh team ...

So, did he forget Fleury didn't play; Malkin didn't play; Maatta didn't play; Rust didn't play; Wilson didn't play.

A friend just texted me a "rumor" that Hagelin has requested a trade out of Pittsburgh recently. To a Western Canada team for family reasons... anyone hear of this?

Someone on twitter just posted a very good point. This defense has gotten better through the season even though many of the players on defense are not considered to be good at defense. It seems Gonchar deserves some praise for this. We don't know for sure if its his doing, but you've gotta think he is helping considering he was a puck moving d-man himself. So he can relate with the guys easier and teach them.

Nothing on any of the common rumor spots about it.

Swapping Jacques Martin for Gary Agnew didn't hurt either.

I remember people complaining about Martin being a "boring product" coach. Seems like hes doing pretty good for the pens. But I guess we dont know how much each coach is doing.

That's a day late pal.

And only if his best buddy Zuccarello would play there...

I find that hard to believe since he is from Sweden; he is fitting in very well here and all Western Canada teams suck.

5-0 Didnt the Islanders get the shuttle bus from the Isalnd to Brooklyn & we ended up playing their woman's team??? Did they know what time the game started? Did they realise they weren't at training???

Wtf? Pens on fire at the moment, & I hope they're just warming up going into the playoffs.

So, I guess we see what we all want to see, whether or not my man Muzza is a NHL goalie now.

Let's go PeeeennnnnnnnnnssssssssssssssSsssssss.

Remember this time last year when Sid had to go balls to the wall every shift just to get us into the playoffs. He looks like he is on cruise control right now.

Yes... Martin was taking liberties on players and Cole did his best to take him on...

I can't remember a hockey team rolling like we are currently, but We didn't have advanced stats to justify the belief of internal game domination. Goals just are not scored at the rate we are lately. Very good job by the coaching staff in developing this team and a great job by Rutherford finding cheap assets to build depth. Schultz has turned into the best tdl pickup and he didn't cost a 1st and assets.

I would lean on keeping Malkin, but injury history means I wouldn't disagree with trading him. He is one of about 5-10 true contender level team number one center. His trade value would be huge and if you could pick up 2 1st plus a good number 2 center I would consider a deal.

Didn't work out so well for him but it was a good effort. I hope Martin (frank)ed up his hand on Cole's visor.

Injury history? He's missed like 7 playoff games in the last 7 years, and those were all against the Lightning in 2010-11.

Nope, I did not know + - did not affect powerplays when in favor, or PK when against for the team.

Don't feel bad Guile, I took on a new assistant coach who has been coaching for 10+ who didn't know, I had him tracking +/- in our 1st game and he had it so screwed up that he actually had a player at +7 in a 4-3 game.

He did what needed to be done and I was thrilled to see him come to the defense of a teammate. Martin is always one to take liberties and cheap shots.

The Pens are playing with confidence and belief like I haven't seen in a long while. They are just dominating play in a way to a point that it makes the other teams look bad and (IMHO) makes them as "WTF just happened?"

So, Edmonton has been rumored to be linked to him. God knows they need defensemen. Trying to figure out what Edmonton could provide for the Islanders that isn't redundant.

Islanders could lose Okposo, Nielsen and Martin via free agency, so would that be a possibility of RNH or Eberle moving on for Haromnic?

The Islanders would be dumb to do a Yukupov for Hamonic move.
