How much is he paying you?

If you knew anything about the CBA you wouldn't have to ask that question.

His nomination for the Masterton is a joke, imho. Sorry, but a rookie hasn't persevered anything. Imho it is a veteran award.
- Scoob

Every team has to submit a name for that trophy, right? Who would you rather the Flyers have nominated?

He's following the team, day by day. But it would be nice for sure if he was able to be in Philly more.
- bmeltzer

It was always so much fun seeing him in his press box during big games and seeing his celebrations during big wins. the only other owner i can remember doing that so often is Cuban. hopefully he can get better and IF a playoff run is on the horizon he can come and enjoy it with all of us

Someone said something about a small wooden boy or something like that. Were they referring to him?

I'll go back and find the comment. brb

Here it is:

I'm not getting this draft for the flyers at all. Laughton ok i"m with them on that pick but a goalie and a wood nymph sized d man. I hope they know what they are doing.

this would be the time for the Flyers to win the cup...the odds are totally against the Flyers but with the system and hot goaltending it is possible

And most of them are fine. He loves the Flyers. I have no problem with the guy. I look forward to his return.
- Scoob

Oh I didn't mean what I said to take a stab at him or insult him. I always enjoyed his input and his opinions. Never learned what happened but he definitely contributed to this blog in a positive way with his input imo.

I think Sam Gagner would have been an ok choice.
Salary dump in a trade for Nik G and Pronger's contract.
Talked about being waived, frequent healthy scratch to being a pretty big part of their turn around second half performance making a run towards a playoff spot.

I don't have a problem with Gost either. Coming back from an acl repair and having the impact he is well it's pretty amazing.

Actually, he's persevered plenty. Comes from a non-traditional hockey market and was told he'd have to move away from his family to have a chance at playing even college hockey. He's undersized (pretty severely undersized at one point). He was bypassed by USA Hockey and by pretty much all of the big name hockey athletic scholarship-giving universities. Went through his first NHL draft year unselected. Suffers a torn ACL a month into his first pro year.

He's deserving of the nomination, though he's unlikely to win.

Yep, still don't understand how Hammond won that. Especially over Letang. Ghost is a great nomination and there isn't a Flyer more deserving of one than him.

I don't think anyone was really deserving of it, but they have to nominate someone...Umberger, maybe, as a treat?

I think he has a lock on the Ashbee. I don't think you can make a case for anyone else.

He has an outside shot at the Calder. He'll likely get a nomination, but McDavid will likely take it home.

- jmatchett383

McDavid has caught up in the points race? Without ghost we don't make the playoffs.

Poor Reece Willcox getting poop for his nerdy picture on page 10. Now he's 6'4", 208 pounds with a Cornell degree and an ELC.
