Well I believe he is pushing the "trade Malkin" idea again... obviously if we can steal Stamkos and trade Malkin, I'll side with sammy

Palmer figured out a way to trade Malkin and still kee him?

Wow if true...

God I miss that guy. The Palmer super line of Ryan-O'Reilly-Jagr was my favorite thing ever

that is pretty cool. My dad and grandfather collected every single model from 1964. Had about 20 cars at their peak but had to whittle it down to about 9. I would say about 8 years ago they drove out to the museum and have a brick there and all that. Isnt there an old test track around there too? I feel like they drove on that.

Anyway that is pretty cool. Not sure I will ever make it out there, but I have heard the good side of Stude. Very innovative, but like you said run by morons.

- YuenglingJagr

I've never seen or heard of the test track. I'm sure it's around though. Maybe I'll go on quest in my car and try to find it before I blow this join in June

So Philbo is on 25 goals to date. Now imagine if those open net & easy tap ins were put in as well. How many would we be talking. No long range or difficult poop, just the sure things that ended in tears??

Warming up Pens fans, warming up.

So everyone keeps saying Karlsson is hands down Norris Winner. Lets compare to Letang.

Letang has 1 more goal, a higher +/-, and now after tonight more power play goals and power play points. Karlsson has 3 GWG compared to Letangs 1 but Letang has 3 Shootout GWG, so could give Letang 4.

The only thing Karlsson has better stats than Letang are assists.

- mmonana120

Karlsson is having a great season but he plays like a 4th winger, not a defenceman. No question in my mind Letang deserves to win the Norris, but he also did back when Subban won it. Both seasons he missed games with injury.

It sucks but Crosby and Letang are probably most deserving of the Hart and Norris this year and they will likely both miss out on it.

He'd be around the 40 goal mark no sweat. I was one of the ones that was saying bad things about his effort levels a lot of nights. It really seems since the games started meaning playoffs/no playoffs he's stepped it up. I've had nothing bad to say about his efforts going on 3 weeks now. It seems he really does start giving 100% when the games matter.

Had that happen to me earlier. Clicked the "my account button" and then went back to the article. If that didn't work, I reloaded the page. Apparently it's not recognizing a cookie or something at some point & not doing a full reload but loading from cache. The refresh kicked in when I reloaded & all of a sudden, it was recognizing. Additionally, it was only working if I had a single tab open. If I opened an article in a new tab, it didn't work.

Thats a good write up from RW. Kunitz, Hornquist and Neal are all legit top 6 wingers. Even if people don't like Kunitz cap hit he is still a really solid player. It was tough seeing Neal go but Hornquist is pretty darn solid as well.

Oh, and where are all of the TO fans now that Kessel is killing it? I have to admit, I was dogging Bonino, but he is doing a better job centering Hagelin & Kessel than Malkin. Gladly eating my words.

I think it would be cool to see a 3rd line of Sprong-Malkin-Fehr assuming the Pens make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

It's such a long season with so many games, these guys just seemed programmed to worry about the next game only & not sit on anything that's over. It's a great time to be hitting form though. I think guys like Nash will probably open up in the playoffs as he's done sweet (frank) all most of the season & is due, & a few compared he & Philbo.

I just hope that Philbo keeps this going!

I agree with all of this. He's gonna do fine in the NHL and should start there next season. All I've ever said is that a year in WBS would do him good which it has. Once Pitt gets healthy he'll probably come back down and get some AHL playoff experience as well which will do him good that is if Pitt doesn't stick him in the box as an extra forward.
- Reverend Killtaker

I think his spot on the roster will be solely dependent on what the Pens do with Cullen. Do they resign him? If not, I would agree. If they do, I don't see it happening that he starts in the NHL.

Played pretty well. No big gaffes and solid all around play. He's definitely to the point where he's a legit NHLer. I have a feeling Dumoulin will be back by Philly. Since we're in a pretty secure place I think I'd sit Lovejoy when Dumoulin come back to give Daley his natural side back (he is clearly leagues more comfortable on the right side, say what you want about handedness) and have the second pairing be Pouliot-Daley. Put Dumo with Letang for just a few games until Maatta comes back. Lord knows the rook has earned it

I didn't think Maatta was playing too well before he got injured?? Would you bring him in if Dumo is solid? Play him sparingly until someone (frank)s up??

I don't know. Rinne might be the most overrated goalie in the NHL. Mason might be the better option.

Yohe's article was great.......

“I’m not someone who pays too much attention to rumors or reputations,” Tocchet said. “But let me say, Phil’s way more coachable than people think. Phil treats the staff so well. He’s just a really nice guy. And people don’t understand how much he loves the game. He has a real passion for hockey. He lives for it. He watches games all the time. He thinks about the game all the time. He’s just been great to deal with.”

How about that column on Sullivan last night by Mackey. He absolutely deserves consideration for the Jack Adams.

Are you suggesting that Maatta be scratched? That's a no brainer negative to me. I mean if Dumo and Letang kill it I wouldn't mind putting Maatta on the second pairing with Daley to go up against weaker competition. That'd honestly be good for him. But mediocre Maatta is still better than any other option we have on the left side not named Dumoulin. If he's good to go he's playing.
