I have watched Phantom games. He is good two way player. Good skater. Can ship in some offense. Kills penalties.

Moving forward I would rather have a 4th line that has a little more skill. I would even be ok with Martel on the fourth line. I want to increase team speed and skill.

cool, I will pay more attention in rookie camp. I intended on getting to some Phantoms game this year but it didn't end up happening

and create the visual of a smoothed line from a value to 0? id rather just be able to see which games he missed, but to each his own
- YuenglingJagr

The smoothed line takes into account the slope of the line as well as the values around it, which is what makes it differ from a scatter chart. I think the best thing would be to just omit those games altogether and only use the games he's appeared in.

it says smoothed values...

all of the data is based on the game number which helps compare players and links data between them...i just posted one picture from the site

I don't feel like tilting my head to read the graph titles. I'll assume this says he's good at playing hockey.

Edit: I also can't take a graph seriously when it has a hole in it. The values should be 0, not void.

I'm seeing it as he had an awesome start but has fallen off the rookie cliff.

Meaning Ghost is now in the Calder race.

- dragonoffrost

This guy thinks so. And he actually gets a vote.

Should have traded Read, Streit, Schultz, and Raffl for 5th round picks.
- jmatchett383

read is a nonfactor in these games could have dumped him for jody shelly and nothing would have changed

Cousins is the guy that's impressing me after the obvious

was interesting...despite the fun of them finally missing the playoffs...i dont really have an issue with detroit. they are much less annoying than boston and if I got to pick I would absolutely leave Boston out.

Detroits goaltending wont allow them to do much in the playoffs right now anyway

One thing for me is that Read doesn't seem to have the same speed like he used to. I could see Leier filling his role without losing really anything.

And he's leaning Ghost.

But I still say Ghost is the third wheel. Panarin and McJesus will get the votes that are based on glamour.

As for Detroit, they could be the fancy stat team of the trio.

I'm with you. I'd dump Boston if I could choose. Detroit has never got me stirred up. Even when they swept us in the finals, we were so bad in that series that getting pissed at the Wings was useless. They basically just had to show up.

Yeah.

Not saying he is going to be this "wow" type player. Just think he can provide at least what Vandevelde does and possibly add more offense.

We'll probably gain in that exchange. I will say that I think Read has been playing much better in the last month. I mean, you know, compared to the rest of his season. Man, he is one of my favourite players. Hurts to see him and Umberger fall off so bad.

Read is getting chances, just can't finish them like he used to.

Panarin is fading a bit. 0-2-2 -5 over the last 9 games.

Defensemen are a really hard sell to win the MVP or rookie MVP... its almost purely a points race to win sadly.

I'm ok if ghost finishes in the top three.

It is such an outstanding rookie class this year.
