I sometimes feel like Amac plays for the 29 NHL teams he NOT signed with.

None. None more options.

I was able to choose the location, company, position, and salary that I got in the real world. These poor NHL players, only getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars as 18-year-olds to live out their childhood dreams but not in the city of their choosing...what could be crueler?

Let's try again.

Hi, can you please clarify this because to me it seems as though you are saying that an unproven player should be able to self-determine for whom he plays. And it seems to me that you are saying that the top med student does have this ability to choose for whom he works. Am I misunderstanding?

Maybe this is one of those times where you realize that neither side is going to convince the other and you just shake your head at the other person for being so oblivious to the obvious.....

Or you could proceed. But this is teetering on MJL territory. And I even like the guy!

I agree with your thinking.

I actually didn't like what Lindros did but as I mentioned before if a player does exercise their rights within the rule, I want to see the Flyers in on it. that said, I don't like that players have that loop hole. I am actually surprised more players don't opt not to sign. Granted junior players then can become available for the draft again so they would have to wait 4 yrs to select their own team just like college kids do.

- nastyflyergirl

Me either, and to this very day it's the first thing I think of when his name is mentioned. He's forever the kid who, along with his parents, threw a tantrum about not wanting to play for the team that drafted him.

I imagined somewhere around Edmonton, but the Mike Richards situation leads me to believe their fancystats show them as breakout pharmacy candidates

We agree on many things.

The top med student isn't getting any big-time job until he's in his mid-20's which is, strangely enough, right around when NHL players can choose what team to play for, having already amassed hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in salary as opposed to hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.

Can we at least agree that ice hockey is played on an ice surface?

Rather testy after a win.

They actually play above the ice surface. There is a thin layer of water between the skate blade and the ice.

Couturier and Giroux both at 4% for who is most overrated in NHL. Gudas at 19% for dirtiest. Ghost at 5% for who made biggest impression.

I'm guessing Malkin and Yzerman had multiple votes for the overrated part.

I'm not sure what that has to do with me not giving a poop about fancy stats, which is my contribution with respect to this silly amac conversation.

That's a whole lot of hypbole.

When are the Flyers going to get a real #1 goalie?

I don't disagree with your assessment of AMac. I guess where we differ is I think Amac's mistakes are, on the whole, less costly than Medvedev's. Just from what I've seen in the games. I'm not a stats guy.
- Andrew_21

i hear ya. its funny im not a stats guy either, and those are the guys that try to prove me wrong with Corsi Rel or Fenwick or WOWY or any of the other advanced stats. i like to use the eye test traditionally and i just dont see his worth when compared to the worth of medvedev. but agree to disagree i guess

They only polled 36 of 750+ players.
