And what's with the picture of the half-empty glass?

I don't get it.

I'm a Leafs fan.

You are also smart enough to know that there is 2 ways to look at everything.

Better than Buffalo drafting Taro Tsujimoto.

Half-empty and...

...half-full of germs and poison?

As I previously mentioned, I'm a Leafs fan.

Isn't that spelled Kontiola?

... I guess the Leafs are exhausting every avenue to get players, and maybe the odd one turns into something impactful. This is up there with the Vessey thing.

I love the way this season is going for this young team. Things are finally looking like they are going in a positive direction. I watched the game last night. Except for a few small mistakes, they dominated the Bolts. If they play like that every game, with a little tending..... happy day.

It's why I think my glass of Leafs Kool-aid is only half-drunk (yeah, you saw what I did there) when I say the Leafs could challenge for a playoff spot next year.

There's not a lot of difference between the current team and the last wildcard team.

Of course, it all depends on finding a goaltender.

We need tending help for sure. Sparks needs to calm down. Bernier needs to go away.

He gets out of control when there is any traffic from a rebound or scramble. It may, or may not happen for him. Either way, we need a quality tender.

Except draft order is affected by how well you do in the playoffs.

If the flightless birds win the Stanley Cup, that pick goes to #30.

Just as an example...

- Atomic Wedgie

but that's the only change that could happen ... or they could move up one spot i suppose.

they changed the rules last year to have everything else regular season based for the playoff qualifiers.

I did not know this.

Gotta start cheering for all teams playing against the Penguins.

Who would you rather have them face in the first round? TB, FLA, OR NYR?

Well, right off the bat let me say that I hope Tampa loses in the first round, making a certain player's decision to leave a little easier...

I think Pittsburgh - NYR would be the most entertaining, but of course I need someone to confirm that the Penguins winning a round or two won't hurt Toronto's draft pick.

I wondered often who said it when it was announced, but now I suspect it was you that said Soshnikov was an ECHLer when he signed here. Am I right?

Well, what was said about Sosh was pretty much word for word with your last post. Though, he's probably another Jussi Rynnas.

Don't want Stamkos. Too much money for too long of a contract. It'll be Phil, all over again. Marty St. Louis made him a star. Since St. Louis left for New York, Stamkos' numbers have dropped. I can't see paying this guy $10 million X 7. Especially when we're at least 4 years away from actually being considered a contender.
- PrinceLH

And what did St Louis do in New York.
Stamkos would have have been star no matter what.

they arent 4 years away from being a playoff contender.

I think he just means St. Louis style gelled well with Stamkos. Which is probably why I like the idea of Marner with Stamkos.

Meh, Sparks looks like a back up. He's been ok.
