Nothing wrong with objective criticism of a player. I don't think Jake has looked good on the first pp unit. I thought it looked better right before he came back. Ghost roamed more. Now the right side is pretty much jakes. I think it's worth a look with Jake on the second unit.

I'd be fine with trying him on the second unit, but I'm not sure who I'd move up. Ideally, you'd want a shooter. I guess you could try Streit, but his shot hasnt really been the same since his injury. Couturier has a worse shot than Jake and Cousins isn't really a shooter either.

Another possibility could simply be switching Jake and Schenn just to give a different look. Schenn's shooting could open up more space in the middle.

The last PP looked good though, so maybe just stick with it and let them work it out.

Boruk is pretty toned down tonight. Did Pimps r Us go out of business?

I kind of miss Coatsey.

Therien could be a spokesperson for Ativan.

Jake has frustrated me on the pp all year, i cant lie.

i just feel like last year he seemed to understand that making that slight cut toward the middle before shooting the puck created so much more chaos when he let loose with the shot

this year he seems to just be content with firing from the angle

He's a guy that needs to get in a groove....when he wants to skate, he's shown he can take his game to an elite level...hence why they gave him an elite contract.

I like Jake, he's apart of the core in my mind but if Steve Yzerman was willing to listen to offers for Stamkos, I would ship Voracek south in a heartbeat (Obviously more would go the other way).

They had Streit with ghost while Jake was out. Honestly I'm fine trying anyone. Maybe gagner since he's been better later

Totally forgot the deal doesn't kick in until July but I don't expect his game to change much once it does.

His passing has been off too and that's mental. Hurt or not seems like he's forcing it out there. Just need to get him a nice goal to get the monkey off his back
- funmaster18

I'm not really concerned about him. It's obvious he's lost confidence and I think a lot of his problems this year or bad luck/injury related. He's also spent a lot less time with Giroux.

I said when he signed the contract that he likely won't score 80 points (or finish top 5 in scoring when they change the goalie rules), but his contract will still be fine. $8M is a lot, but he's so difficult to replace and I would want him as part of my leadership core moving forward.

The best forwards in hockey make close to 25% more than him. That's probably fair value.

When Jake gets back to being healthy and driving with that ghetto Booty Jagr Style, he will be fine.

I don't really care about his contract. He's signed and he's here. Just want to see him get his swagger back
