When he first arrived he would keep it simple....now it's just give a way after give a way....his reads in the neutral zone are appalling.....every time it's him caught watching the play...

I think he'll likely play wing though. They need a big, fast 2 way guy for that 3C spot.

Wouldn't call it poorly spent just get. Jake is an excellent playmaker when he's on. His effort has never been questioned either.

Voracek has a tone of skill but what good is all that skill if he can't score? In my opinion, Jake has never looked like a player who can carry a team or a player who looks all that great away from Giroux. The puck possession and passing is fantastic but it all has to translate to offense. He's an 8 million dollar cap hit. I think it's questionable on whether or not he's worth this much and I'm sure a great debate could be had for both sides. With this said, I've seen Claude Giroux make look Arron Asham look like a star in a playoff setting. This is the difference between G and Jake.

Cousins is young....I'm not sure if there's more there, but I think he's played well.....Gagne still for checks like he's playing center....that's a problem.

Nothing wrong with objective criticism of a player. I don't think Jake has looked good on the first pp unit. I thought it looked better right before he came back. Ghost roamed more. Now the right side is pretty much jakes. I think it's worth a look with Jake on the second unit.

He's a guy that needs to get in a groove....when he wants to skate, he's shown he can take his game to an elite level...hence why they gave him an elite contract.

I think he's still hurt. He's being taken off the puck too easily.

He got off to a rough start, but settled in for about 40 games prior to his injury. Let's not forget he was forced to play with PEB and VDV while he hit a slump.
