Voracek is an 8 million dolllar cap hit. He shouldn't need his hand held out there. I'm not break up a pretty solid top line in a playoff race because Jake isn't playing well.

It really has nothing to do with Jake's hand being held... More to do with the fact that the 2nd line has 3 guys who have stones for hands when it comes to finishing.

Simmer, G and Jake have been a one of the best lines in the league whenever they're together. I don't think the top line loses much with Jake moving up and the 2nd line gains a lot with Schenn's finishing.

Power play hasn't been great lately, especially since Jake was out back on unit one. I might think about putting Streit back and moving Jake to the second unit.

Wouldn't call it poorly spent just get. Jake is an excellent playmaker when he's on. His effort has never been questioned either.

Nick Cousins has been ok, but this team badly, desperately needs a 3rd quality center to go with G and Coots. To me, this is a much bigger need than LW

I don't have an issue with the contract, he's the 2nd most talented played on this team and got paid like a top winger. Even with his rough year if he had played all 82 game he would've finished with around 60-65 points.
