I wonder how far up in the draft we could move up trading Sanheim along with our 1st. Or if he could fetch a 1st himself, where it would be. - arichardson22
Sanheim will be turning pro next year and should be NHL ready, if all goes well, within 2 years times to start paying real dividends. If we swapped him for another first, you're looking at 3-4 years more for that player to start paying dividends. I think we're about 2 years away from competing, so I'll take the guy who (all things equal) will develop faster. If they trade him, I'd prefer a guy who will be able to contribute immediately.
Now, if they can get a top-3 pick with him (Flyers 1st, Sanheim, Flyers 2nd type of deal), I'd be down, because those guys may be able to contribute as soon as next year. |

In the 2010 SCF, the Flyers finally ran out of slogans for the Orange Crush shirts. I forget if it was Game 4 or Game 6, but the slogan was, "WHY NOT US?" I mean, well, sure, why not?
It turned out that the answer was Michael Leighton. |

I agree..
Sanheim still has a ton of potential. He is kinda hiding in Provorovs shadow. He might not be ready to play in the NHL until 2018, but when he does come up he should be able to produce at a pretty decent level (offensively at least). Trading him for another pick is a tough one unless its (like you said) a top 3 pick. |

Yep, he will be a full-time AHLer or NHLer...unless he retires or goes to the ECHL, in which case it's a moot point about what to do with him. |

This area is more into hand guns. I was sitting with a buddy in a pizza place and some dude rolls in with a glock tucked into the waist band of his boxers. Ordered a hoagie, grabbed a 40 and wandered around the place pounding the 40 and waiting for his food. That's the uncomfortable kinda nights you can spend even in the 'burbs around this place. |

"With everything we've gone through this year, we never quit," Briere said. "Why not? Why not us? Why not our turn now? I really believe that if there's a team that can definitely do it, it's us." |

I assume you did not enter a pizza shop in all 3 areas and witness the same guy drinking a 40 with a gun in his waist? |

Chester is sketchy but there are some very nice parts of chester county: unionville, chadsford, kennett square, etc... |

I've seen people packing in public places who I know don't have a concealed carry permit 'cause if it isn't in a holster you don't have one. Since I saw this guy a couple weeks ago I've seen him in other stores carrying.
There are lots of nice places in the areas I mention but none of them are immune on a blanketed basis. |

Kennet Square? I guess it depends what side of the street you're walking on and the time of day. There's not much urban going on in Chadds Ford and Unionville. I'd consider Downingtown and West Chester nice towns but hand guns are a part of life around there. I spend a lot of time in the towns around there (my whole life) and things have changed gun-wise. It's no fantasy. |

Ohhhh, maybe we can get somebody as good as Sanheim!
Trading Sanheim to move up or snag a second first is counterproductive. If he's traded it should be for a young-ish guy (under 25) who fills an obvious hole at a high level |
