I missed the game. Just want to make sure I have this right.

1. Mason sucks for not manning up and throwing off his goal mask or knocking the goal off
2. Giroux dove and faked injury and left his team hanging out to dry while fighting for a playoff spot
3. Nick cousins is a pedofile and should be arrested

- funmaster18

Yup, that sums it up. Im soooooo lost.

How do you feel about Bill Barber? He could have won Olympic Gold from the 10 meter board with how good a diver he was. Mark Recchi, too. I'm sure Giroux faked it all the way to missing the last 2:30 of the game when his team needed it's most skilled offensive player

Watch both the angles of the hit in that link

You'll never convince he didn't dive. I never said he faked an injury. But whatever bump he incurred was because he dove into a wall. Yes all reports are he's fine he escaped serious injury lol.....what a joke

Anyone see Batman v Superman this weekend? I hate to say it but Affleck was probably the best part of that movie.

I was reading the rottentomatoes page on it the other day, and came across this glorious quote from a review:

"The story, like the testicles of a weightlifter on steroids, dwindles away to nothing."

Oh look...Posters that have been silent for the most part over the past 15 games when the team has been playing great decide to show up with their typical "the sky is falling" posts..

Did people really expect they were going to win every game for the rest of the year? Not even Washington as good as they are is going to do that.

Complain about your second line center that has one goal over the past 22 games. Complain about Simmonds being on one of his cold streaks.
Complain about Voracek not having done much since returning..

All legit concerns...Crying that the team sucks and wont make the playoffs because they lost that game is just normal Philly Hockeybuzz win...

I'm enjoying the ride...........prior to the season I felt at best they were a fringe playoff team so far that's about spot on.

Others well they seem to always need something to complain about.........that just takes too much energy to do that all the time. I'll pick my spots

I don't understand the complaining at all. Most never expected them to be in this position, so why not just enjoy it? If they were a team with post season run expectations I'd get it, but that's not what this team was going into this year.

Well Sanheim just got caught in the offensive zone which led to a 2 on 1 goal for Red Deer.

I can only guess that if some don't complain they aren't happy..........and that just seems strange.

He'll play Tommorow night. that was a ridiculous dive. He's making it hard to get behind him with some of the embellishing jobs this year
- Just5

I'm sorry but I find it very hard to believe he drove himself into the ice knocking himself out of a 2-0 game the team really needed to win. I find it hard to believe he wasn't hurt not coming back into a 2-1 game on the PP

It's funny because the make-up of this blue line to start the season didn't garner much confidence. Ghost was in the AHL and nobody saw his development coming. MDZ gone for the year, and they're still right there. I have thoroughly enjoyed this ride and can't wait for training camp to see which prospect can possibly jump up and add to the core.

It's on to Winnipeg. Hopefully gudas won't get suspended even though he should be.

The power play is a legit concern right now. I get gripes with that. But these last few weeks have been awesome. No need to complain

I can tell you based on my 36 years of experience that it is not instinctual to remove your mask during the course of play ... Unless the mask is really knocked loose and dangling ...even then the instinct is to want to fix it, not rip it off your head.

If that's what happened here, I totally get Mason's take on it.

But yeah let's blame him for losing the game and hold him accountable whatever the (frank) that means because he's selfish, stupid, and sucks.

It's ridiculous. And yes it's totally plausible that a player can dive and hurt himself not intending to do that. When they made the call to put him through the protocol, his night was over whether he got one or not. Watch the video and trust your eyes nasty

I can only guess that you're serious.

As you, I watched it live and have seen both angles ad nauseum.

The reason it became dangerous was not because Giroux dove. Giroux was turning. Hanzel right arm and stick came around Giroux' upper thigh as Giroux twisted causing Giroux to trip up. Hanzel's left hand then pushed Giroux in the back causing Giroux to completely lose control, thus propelling his head into the boards.

I don't really consider it a dirty hit or done with intent. It definitely became a dangerous one. Certainly, not one in which Giroux dove.

It was one of those hits where Hanzal didn't respect the vulnerable position Giroux was in. I doubt he intended to injure Giroux.
