Yeah, I see a lot of movement coming this summer. Unless we see players with NMC having to be protected I don't force a lot of buyouts this summer unless a team is desperate and can't find someone to trade with. I think it's stupid to have to protect a player just because they have a NMC, but the league/Bettman hates them and that would certainly help to eliminate them given out until the second expansion team comes in in probably 2019 at the earliest. Also why would you choose to protect less players? You can protect 7 forwards, 3 defensemen and 1 goalie or 8 skaters and 1 goalie. Why would you purposely give up 2 players just so you can maybe save one more forward, but then you'd leave your entire defensive core wide open unless they're super young to be exempt or Dion Phaneuf. Also what roster are they using? The 23 man one? I think there'll be a couple teams that will have trouble complying no matter how they shake it out whether it's not being able to expose enough salary, having to protect too many guys because of NMC NTC, and the whole second year thing however that turns out. The 8 skaters thing wouldn't be used to protect an extra forward. No one is losing space to protect a 3rd liner. It would be for a team like the Ducks who want to protect more that 3 D-men.

Yea the Holm-Tate fight was great to watch... but now White has literally created a cluster frank in that division and the fact that Rousey doesn't have to fight the person that beat her and instead has to beat Tate which she has done already (twice) bothers me...

And the McGregor-Diaz fight was a joke.

That fight was a failure from the start no matter how good you are, putting on 25lbs is not easy to do. Especially putitng on 25lbs and fighting with that extra weight. He tried to get to him early and did. But diaz has that "desperation mode" that outlasted the onslaught by Connor.

No I don't like McGregor as a fighter... reminds me too much of Anderson Silva sticking his chin out begging to be hit, eventually someone will and they will knock you out. He got what he deserved. Yea he got Diaz with some solid hits and cut him, but he never had a shot in that fight.

Just don't attempt to correct any poster who does not use punctuation marks of any kind. That is, apparently, a banable offense.

It's having a chance to win throughout the duration of the deal IMO.

Montreal has a couple nice players, but we are set up better long term
Toronto is far away, and to be honest, I think they would have less interest in Stamkos than the other way around
Nashville is set up more short term with Weber and Josi being on the wrong side of there prime.

We've gone over this in previous threads. Pro athletes pay state taxes based on the States they play in, so Stamkos would pay taxes to all states of away games. Thus, the tax ramification is cut in half. Factor in the cost if living in BUF and you're about equal with TB, though TB isn't expensive
