So are we back to rooting against our team doing well?
- feetontheair22

Where have you been? It's been building on here for awhile. I've come around it to slower than others. The Oilers embarrassing loss is what got me on board.
For me it's not like last year where I'm rooting literally against the team but I'm not as invested in every second of the game and would prefer we lose with dignity. I still want Eichel, Reinhart and Risto to look good but expose our terrible D and have a high scoring game. I want to end up 3rd or 4th last come lottery. Likely won't get it though.

or you can make your own luck. Either way you can find a way to address those areas without the top 3 pick. If you miss out because of eichel, reinhart etc. that's ok.

Exactly. Although I do find myself wanting a 6-4 loss when lehner's not playing. End to end action with Jack and Sam thriving, with a close loss is perfect. I cannot, however, root for the young stars to fail. Kinda makes any outcome OK.

Can't. The space time continuum wont allow it.

Hahaha

I'd go to the Draft & buy a Matthews jersey for sure

Also add a legit partner for Risto, and I'd say we have a legit chance to win our division next year

Fwiw, that 2nd goal by deslauriers is the ugly side of hoffman. He'll get you goals, but you better be prepared to live with that sort of play (or make sure your d-man don't do what Phaneuf did).

I always root for us
But at this point, when we lose, I just shrug my shoulders & scoreboard watch the other bottom feeders

I'm more than ok if we pick top3 this year

Tough to imagine them moving him or Stone anyways

I'm coming around to the Rick Nash idea if we just have to give up picks (not 1st round) and NYR eats some of his salary

I think he had 40something goals last year
And he's maybe 31, 32?
Injury might be a concern, but his contract is only for 2 more years I believe

Exactly. As much as guys like Gionta, Gorges, and Legwand annoy me sometimes, I feel like they've created a nice environment for the young talent. Something Edmonton has completely neglected with their young guys. Although we're not a good team this year, I feel like there is a lot of reason for optimism.

Imagine the dinner table at the Moulson house on a game night. Does hockey enter the conversation?

Mrs. Moulson: Jack, great game tonight!
Matt's kid: Yeah Jack, great goal! Dad, did you play tonight?

That was very nhl 14 from ristolainen. clean hit, cpu comes over to challenge and if you don't accept it usually results in a penalty for that player

A buddy of mine was talking about us actually winning the 1st pick
Add Matthews & Stamkos...
Write up those lines
Wow

- jdfitz77

Too many centers in that wet dream. In that case you wouldn't sign Stamkos or you trade the pick for King's ransom. I don't think you trade it because Matthews looks to be that good.and free agency wouldn't have started

So Gorges got a penalty for Neil sticking his stick between his legs and then getting punched in the face?

So was the Risto fight any good? I was in the car, didn't sound all that great.
