You guys are more than welcome to pull that upset in the first round of the playoffs. Just stick to the 2nd wildcard spot and let Pittsburgh get Florida (possibly) |

Its all about Cooter. He is key. He needs to stay injury free. - FlyersFirst
What's our record with him in the lineup? it's prob like 15 games over .500 or something. |

You know I really had a bad feeling about this game as soon as Hossa scored that SH and VDV got his penalty for clearing puck out in crowd. It just felt like one of those games that wasn't going to go our way and we'd lose. And I am beyond thrilled with how we responded and came back and won. Just such an exciting run and it's crazy to think how well we have played without Jake. I hope he comes back lighting it up for us. He has to have a maximum level of jitters sitting on the sideline watching this team play on this awesome run. |

You guys really want to lose to a Jagr team for the 3rd time in 5 years? |

I had a bad feeling going in to the game. Everything was against us: end of a back-to-back, travel day, on the road, Chicago coming off a bad loss, Streit in the lineup, and playing the defending champs. Even when they were up 3-2, it didn't feel safe. The game was so intense that I was literally shaking after the game. Loved it. |

The odds for sure were not in our favor. Really impressive win. Chicago looked deadly in the first period too and dang do they control the puck incredibly. I was shocked we killed the 5-3, especially with our main PK Line in box, with how dominantly they were cycling the puck. And I know the last 4 minutes I had my hands on my face just saying "come on!" Over and over love it! |

Ummm... we never faced them in recent playoffs?
We're also 2-1 against them this year, with the loss being a shootout. And I don't think anyone else considers the Panthers a threatening team in the postseason, do you? |

I do. One of the top goal scoring teams, one of the lowest goals against teams. Special teams could use some improvement, however. |

You lost to Jagr (Flyers) in 2012
You lost to Jagr (Bruins) in 2013
You didn't play his team in 2014/2015
So this would hypothetically be the 3rd time in 5 years.
And no, I don't think they're threatening. I didn't think they were threatening in 1996, either. It was just some gentle ribbing. |

I do. - Streit2ThePoint
Well excluding Detriot, I can't think of another team I'd want first round... but I am more realistically only looking at the teams poised to be in the #2 spot since the Capitols are a lock for the 2nd wildcard team.
Tampa Bay is slumping down a decent bit, so not considering them this week. Florida or Boston... I'd gladly take Florida. |

haha i was saying that the Flyers are coming for the first seed....but clearly joking. We will see how it all shakes out. Would be nice not to face the caps but Florida/Tampa/Boston are all good teams as well |

huh... I must be tired to forget his existance in those series. Granted, looking it up... 1 goal in those two postseason runs combined, so I don't think Jagr was the deciding factor. Pens had a number of other ways to (frank) it up. |

Once you make the dance anybody can be a threatening team. See montreal and flyers 2010. |

I do remember that one game Jagr stole the puck from Malkin (I believe) and they went down for a goal. It was one of those borderline hooks that strips the puck on the back check he is so good at.
Pens scored like 2 goals that entire series against the Bruins |

I just saw its a 1 pm game on Saturday. great, will the flyers be awake that early? |

Yeah... we blame that on Disco Dan and his ruining Iginla's tenure in Pitt by giving him the wrong wing. |

Yeah.. I agree. I don't expect them to go far, but thy've obviously been on a crazy roll here. Carry that into the playoffs and look out. |
