That franchise, and its fans, are a huge steaming pile of crap. (frank) them, (frank) them all.

Great game today, all for the best in Flyerdom as you guys will get that mid round draft pick without having to pay for inflated cost of playoff tickets.... if any of you go on a consistent basis

It's like the Flyers in 2009. Yeah there was a cup run but then there was this...

Not every GM is as smart as Hexy either. Really he has accelerated the rebuild while not sacrificing anything. Every prospect he's gathered looks like gold, he's brilliantly ditched contracts, hired a good coach. Not every franchise is so lucky to have someone like that steer them through. Lord knows, I wouldn't trust Sather to do that.

Maybe you pens fans will end up splurging to watch a cobbled together capped out group of has beens and AHL stars bow out in the first round. At least you can look forward to not having a first round pick yet again. Sprong will save you tho

The Flyers as an organization really have to do something to address the shootout. Bottom line it's costing significant points every season since it was implemented by the league. Can Mason be better at them? Absolutely but the bigger issue is Philadelphia's talented forwards consistently unable to convert on their chances. Voracek is a great example. He's a team leader and one of the best forwards on the team. He needs to be better at them (I realize he wasn't in the lineup yesterday). You need your top skill players and team leaders to execute.

So with a win tonight Detroit will have 81 or 79 points when the Flyers play them on Tuesday. The Flyers will have 2 games in hand on them. A win against the Leafs and Philly and that could be a wrap for Philadelphia.

#WHLHitmen score! Travis Sanheim blasts a point shot on PP past former teammate Mack Shields and it's 1-1 with 5:55 to play in 1st. #MHatCGY

As an organization they tend to always favor the two way forward over the finesse/skill forward. Generally those guys are always going to have the better moves.

That said I don't understand why we CONSTANTLY see our guys basically skate in and attempt no move whatsoever. I'd rather see them try something outside the box and miss the net completely than skate in and shoot it right into the goalies crest.

Shootout needs to go away altogether but it won't due to time constraints. Ties aren't going to come back either IMO. We're stuck with the S/O.

Personally I think the organization is cursed when it comes to the shootout. G has shown that he can pull off nasty moves and score. Same with gagner. But when push comes to shove, it typically doesn't happen.

Edit: o think it's been mentioned before, bit I don't see why they don't give ghost a shot. He can skate and handle the pick, and has a knack for the back of the net.

Hopefully koneckny helps

i hate them, as has been well documented, but if it helps the flyers, i put it aside. they're going to make it regardless, so the result is meaningless for them.

i don't have a true hate for the pens either.

God I hate the pens. How can you say that?

They played a really solid road period. Unfortunately they don't have a lead.

Didn't realize Kronwall got injured yesterday. Datsyuk also got banged up in the first period.

It all depends on Buchnevich and his coming over this year. If he doesn't, I agree with the notion of dealing Duclair being a huge loss for the team going forward.

Upside, Buchnevich has the ability to be equal, if not better, than Duclair.

Rangers are currently flush with wingers and they are mostly in their 20s, with the exception of Nash. There wouldn't have been room for two top nine quality wingers.

I've honestly never heard of buchnevich...
