Why can't he have both?
Surely someone out there creating space for Jack to do the things he's good at with a winger that is of similar mind set to finish off what Jack sets up would be a good thing no?

- Havic3814

McGinn is more of a top 6 then Girgensons, Larrson makes Girgensons trade able .

Just about every good team balances out their top 3 lines instead of loading up their top 2

U can continue refuse to admit this if u want
But it's true

U act like Girgensons is Kaleta
He was on pace for 20 goals last year!
Got drafted something like 15th for a reason. The kid has talent

Did the much-improved Armia fail the Jets?

(sneak peak of an answer - I know)

- stashu

Don't think he played last night. At least that's what the box score shows.

8 point in 35 games. Best player we gave up in that trade

And Washington, and the Rangers, and the Kings, and the Sharks...
Etc, etc, etc

Almost all good teams balance their top3 lines instead of loading up their top 2

- jdfitz77

we are not a good team, decimated with injuries up front and the kid plays 12 minutes a night

he was drafted to be a second line center, upside
he has fallen to 3rd line center and then once the coach has worked with him a while, has been shifted to the wing

gets very little special teams time

good teams find ways to get good players ice time even if on 3rd line

we are not a good team, building the pieces for turning the corner next year and while they are laying down the foundation, girgens ice time is dropping

I have a feeling Eichel's winger may come thanks to uncle Brian

McGinn is no longer on this team... I'm not saying we keep Girgs if there is a reasonable offer to lose him but a power forward to give Jack space isn't a bad idea

no ennis, no mcginn, no ror and the kind is still on the 3rd line

oh and he is not even playing center, a career ahl player is

I rest my case

- homiedclown

Foligno-Larsson-Gionta has probably been our best line since they've been put together...
No reason to break that up

And so what if he's not playing center?
If he's seen as a potential for on Jack's wing, it would be dumb to swap him back & forth. Especially in a season where he's struggled offensively

I agree. So let's put him where he belongs on the 3rd line and we'll have a decent 3rd line center who can play solid D.

Said this before the season and people freaked saying you don't put a 1st round pick on the 3rd line and that you're wasting his potential. His potential is to be a good player at the 3C position. That's not a bad thing, that's just where he lines up best.

Give it up, people like to keep trying to win instead of actually doing it.

Girgenson is the built for the 3rd line center, not a top 6 and is to good for the 4th line.

"Fallen to 3rd line center"

Or did we draft a franchise center #2
And trade for ROR, who's already established as a top6 center

I'm not saying he's great...
He's had a rough year offensively

U & 89 are treating him like he's Adam Mair

Ok... But what kind of trade value does he have?
I'm assuming not too much with his scoring struggles this year

Murray has wanted Hoffman and Stone since his first day on the job, tried pawning off Chris Stewart for either one but it didn't work.

1 2months ago, the masses said he should be the next captain, now he is getting beat by cal o reilly for 3rd line center

thats COR not ROR

I have watched this team hold on to kotalik, connolly, goose, heicht, instead of realizing what they have and move on

I am not sure schaller would do any worse on our 3rd line then girgens, let alone larsson

And we are loving Jacks and Sams 19-20 goals.

Having a 25G scorer at this point of the season would be a hell of lot better feeling.

I would move Girgensons ++ to the Kings for Jake Muzzin, good LHD with a 4 mill cap hit. Kings need to move money to keep Lucic.
