Flat out horrible game from Kessel. I thought snipers could elevate pucks? How many empty net chances is he going to flub and slide a puck across the ice into the pad of a goalie. Give me a freaking brake. I can't take his crap anymore. He could at least hit someone.
In this game alone he slide two pucks on the ice with an open net into the pads of the goalie.
I admit I was super stoked when we got him. I remember watching him on the leafs and thinking that he was a freak. Now I would rather see that money spent on something that can hit a freaking open net and maybe was more than 1% physical. I actually cheered when I saw him shoulder someone on the islanders. |

So sick and tired of seeing this team lose hockey games, 34 wins in 66 games is pathetic! |

It just hurts so much beyond words that Hamonic stopped that Kessel shot. I hope Halak is out for the season. - Dcoms

You guys complain about Kuhnhackle so much but I don't see him as a liability. Bonino though, holy $hit is he slow. He could have had a break away if he didn't have Sestito speed. Speaking of Sestito we saw first hand the problem with dressing a goon. Double shifting guys onto his line all night is too much juggling and hurts unit cohesion. |

WTF is he supposed to do on those goals? They were both deflected in front. MAF was fine. Score more than one goal and it isn't a problem. |

Bonino is pissing me off. I hated Sutter and wouldn't want him back but I have absolutely no clue how Bonino ever registered more than 20 points in a season. He stick handles well and that is it. Doesn't do anything else well and he might be slower than Maatta. |

Who has complained about Kuhnhackl recently? Bonino is a 3rd/4th line player, not a difference maker, anyone expecting anything other than that should temper those expectations. Sestito is not worth mentioning at this point, how many minutes did he play tonight? Irrelevant is the answer! |

We traded Sutter for Bonino, yes Sutter gets paid more but he would have at least got a shot off in that situation. And yeah that was my point about Sestito thanks! |

Why dress a player who is irrelevant? That question is relevant. The effect it has on the team as a whole is relevant. |

I will say as a Pens fan, I didnt like the bush league chop at Lee when Tanger was laying on the ice, the rest was jostling in front of the net and Tanger got outmuscled to the ice plain and simple. |

I agree on both counts. Both teams played hard, especially considering both teams were tired. Pens six games in nine days and Islanders first game after a long road trip. |

I'm sure he could pass that along to his wife who is 200 times hotter than any girl who has even asked you to get the f out of her way. Speaking of women it looks like Halak might be one now that he shattered his groin. |

I mess around with goalies at practice and can take a puck six inches from the goal line and hit the crossbar hard enough that the puck leaves the zone. Granted, they are early teenagers and I use a wooden stick...but still. The dude is paid his salary minus zero above what I make for pulling that shot off without NHL players trying to smash my face. I want a raise regardless. |

But when your down you have to be able to have fresh legs/line cohesion. Down one forward effects the teams ability to do so. |
