Im excited about the pickup in the standings because it means the guys we've acquired are effective. We made a lot of moves to get this roster and it's paying off.

I just proved it. O'Riley top line center hurt, Ennis 20 goal scoring winger hurt. Need another goal scoring winger (draft) and a top 4 LHD (trade) We should be competing for playoffs next year. Well yea... having our best player and ennis who had 20 last year out will make you look that way. Add those two players + whoever we get in the offseason and you're looking at a potential playoff team. I don't know how you can't see that. Eichel, Risto, Reinhart will only improve.

Say what you want about our talent level, you won't get too far when your key guys are 24,24,22,22,21,20 and 19.

You need veterans with experience that can still make an impact on most nights. I'm not talking about has beens, I'm talking about core players. I don't see many of those types on either team.
