Cousins will be a Flyer. He won't get thru waivers.

Straka, Alt and especially Palushaj may not be back. Same with Manning.

- Feanor

I could see Alt sliding into Manning's role next season as a 6/7 type guy. He could be the 6 guy if Medvedev walks.

I do see Hextall maybe going after a Demers in FA. I also see possibly a defenseman moved in offseason.

giroux took a stick to the face it looked like...went down...schenn was just shoving with Pardy? and kinda got high/lowed by him and Giroux (who was laying on the ice). Schenns helmet had come off already so when Schenn went down backwards with Pardy on top of him

edit: gif

How was this not a bench minor? There are 6 oilers alone in this frame. I believe they had 8 people on the ice at some point.

Do you see Leier on the Flyers next season?
- jmatchett383

Yep. Possibly in whites spot. Reports are he's far and away the phantoms best two way forward

Frans Nielsen has been mentioned as a target. I would get in a bidding war for him as long as it's 2 years or less

so, tell me, who did you want to trade at the deadline for a mediocre vet on an expiring contract so Flyers could make it to playoffs and lose in the first round? Sanheim? Haag? Konecny? Morin? Provarov? Who?
- bodiva88

trading a mac and or umberger would have been good candidates

Also, please list which teams would actually want those players. Thanks

No one would trade a bag of dog poop for either. And dog poop wasn't getting you to the playoffs. Umberger has another year being paid to be a dead body and AMac has MANY more years of being paid a LOT of money to be ineffective. Maybe over the summer someone will need to do a Pronger-like deal to reach the floor. But that's not the case in season.

Don't like him. He's not a center is he?

Nielsen and I'd check on E Staal. But I've read he's pretty much a lock to return to the canes.

How miserable would an A-mac buyout be? More or less than watching him be ineffective and taking up a spot on the ice?

it would be long and painful

~ 1.6 M on the cap until 2025

vs 5M cap until his contract runs out in 2020 if they keep him

This gif really just sums up the Flyers of recent years. Small sized forwards that get pushed around by the rest of the league. Even their tough guys a little dudes. Flyers really need a big, tough, skilled top 6 forward.

2025!?!? Jesus. We need a Mike Richard's special, anyone know a sneaky pharmacist?

To be honest, I'm not sure which option is worse actually. $5mil a year could actually prevent them from doing things, $1.6 for all that time really sucks but if they're smart with the cap moving forward, it's not as big of a crutch, just really annoying. I dunno, GD it homer!!!!

I turned it off before that scuffle.

Wow. I never really had a reason to hate the Oilers, but I hate them now and I hope they stay poopty with Laine too.

Oh wait. They will. Because that the name of the game for that pathetic organization.

- Giroux_Is_God

Ghost shoves Hall, Hall shoves Ghost. Simmonds tries to shove Hall over, Maroon pins Simmonds over the boards. Ghost walks away whining.

You're blaming the oilers there? How about Ghost learns that you take what you dish? Jesus entitlement in that kid

this one says ~ 1.8M until 2024. Not sure which is right, but you get the idea. Its terrible.
