Yeah, that could have been so very bad. I was very happy when Schenn got up and was on the bench looking like nothing had happened.

Simmonds -3, Giroux -3, Schenn -3...but the loss is on Raffl with his sub-10 minutes of ice time, and Gagner. This is known.

For serious:

Dave Brown would pound the piss out of anyone "enforcer" in the NHL today. That includes Jon Scott and Tanner Glass. In today's NHL, fighting is all about positioning, throwing quick jabs, and keeping out or reach. Dave Brown would open up, hit you, and basically dare you to hit him back because he could take a punch as well as anyone (sans that wussy Domi). Guys today are terrified of getting hit and Brown would destroy them with a barrage of lefts.

i have no idea but a) who is our best D and is he that much better that he should constantly be out there against the other teams best players? b) did medvedev do okay the rest of the time? c) are you overreacting to one play? d) the oilers had taylor hall on another line
- YuenglingJagr

Gudas/Medvedev saw ~3 min against the McDavid line at evens. They played them, but clearly they weren't matching against them. The AMac/Ghost pairing was definitely kept away. But in those 3 min, the Flyers directed 7 shot attempts to Oilers' 2 attempts. Of course 1 of those was a goal. In fact, I think both attempts came on that 1 play...other than that they had zero attempted shots against them.

The Streit/Schultz pairing was matched pretty closely to McDavid and Co.: in their 7 minutes the McDavid line won the shot attempt battle 9-5, and shots 8-2.

Charlie at BSH called Medvedev, Matt Carle without the support of his coaches. Pretty much sums it up.

At least there will be a day soon where Hakstol won't have the chance to sub an AHL tweener every other game for one of Provorov, Sanheim, Ghost, MDZ, Morin, or Demers.
