Just a little tidbit from the CBA. There's some great stuff in there if you can get past the fact that they use 37 words when 8 will do. Kinda like me. No wonder it took so (frank)ing long to hammer out a deal when they're haggling over economy class airfare for recalled players and mid-size rental cars.

And I thought I was a pedantic mother(frank)er. Holy hell.

Here's something interesting that may have an impact on Stamkos. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but it kinda sounds like every team withholds NYS income tax unless they're a Canadian resident. So a player who lives in Florida or Texas, states with no state income tax, still have NYS withholding? It's not clear to me how that works. Is it irrelevant and every player who is a resident of the US pays the same state level income tax even if they live in a state with no or lower state income tax?

(b) Withholding Of New York State Taxes.

Each Club shall deduct and withhold New York State personal income tax from every Players' compensation as required by law, notwithstanding, in the case of New York State nonresidents, the policy of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance that allows Clubs to file information reports in lieu of withholding New York State taxes from nonresident Players' compensation; provided, however, that no New York withholding shall be required in the case of any Player who is exempt from such withholding under New York law on account of his Canadian tax status. Each Club shall remit withheld amounts to New York State and provide Players with withholding statements in accordance with New York State requirements.

"Your sister!" "Did you just touch my ass?"

A virtual pat on the back to anyone who knows what movie those lines are from without looking them up.

It's going to be a VERY long stretch to get us to Draft day. That was as bad and as uninspired as I have seen the team play.

It bothers me a little that they didn't rally more to Jack to help him square off against McDavid. He was doing a lot on his own out there, while everybody else was just getting paid.

Ah bullpoop, it was a good hockey game....except for the prolonged stretches where the Oilers had the Sabres hemmed In to their own zone.

I will take a 40 goal scoring Stamkos all day. With him ROR Eichel teams will have to respect someone like they do Ovi...If anything it will help Reinhart and Eichel grow.

Stamkos has potted 40 just once in the past 4 years. He potted 29 and 25 in there which will be about around what Reinhart and Eichel might finish with this year if ROR hadn't gotten injured.

Stamkos is not the same player since the injury . Still very good . Just not 10 million good . Between 9 and 10 . And he is looking for 12? Not that anxious to go down that road.

Agreed...but he has time to turn it around. I would be more worried about Phil Kessel.
