I would not target Stamkos this off season. Focus my efforts to build a complete lineup. This would all depend on not winning the lottery and drafting outside the top 5.

Offer a 2017 2nd to NYR for the rights to Kreider.

Moulson ($1.1MM Retained) and a 6th for a pick
Pysyk Foligno and a 3rd for Eberle
Ennis and a 3rd for Brodin
Bogosian for a 2nd round pick

Sign Lindholm to a 3 year $15MM bridge deal
Sign Kreider to a 5 year $25MM deal
Risto gets a 4 year $21MM deal
Larsson gets a 2 year $2.25MM deal
Girgensons gets a 3 year $8.25MM deal

I give him a C+ at best. Toronto doesn't seem to be having a problem um "maximizing" their "assets". I have to wonder how much collusion there is among the GMs. There was some dancing going on but they left Murray in the corner. Nobody leaves Murray in the corner. Go get 'em Tim!

Toronto had even more players that are pending UFA's to trade but they didn't get to trade those guys either. Wasn't just Murray having trouble.

On second thought, I think Broads is right in that it would take somebody like Reinhart to get Lindholm, who is the ideal candidate to play with Ristolainen.

The only way I do that is if they are able to sign Stamkos and get a top 5 pick this year.

I like the end result and agree on Stamkos, but that's a lot of dominoes.
If they keep this years' first they could take Jacob Chychrun, I've seen him play and he's a beast, but he'd be a couple of years away.

No doubt the D needs some attention.
