Wasn't reffering to Moulson either. That's the 3rd worst contract in the last ten years in Buffalo. I'm talking about RFA's I'd trade them for whatever and try and get rid of the 3rd round picks for something better.

I'd be really good with a 2nd next year. Use it at the next deadline. If we want to use it to move up/trade for a player that's fine. But if we use it to fill our pipeline then I'm cool with that too.

As for the RFAs, I could really not care less the Deslauries is on my 4th line LW spot. He's not stopping me from doing anything. Getting rid of him means I'm going to get a guy that does the exact same thing unless I already have a guy to take that spot which I don't. Trading them does nothing to help the team now and the return is so marginal that it really does nothing.

I mean it's a pipedream, but if TM can land a solid D-man at the draft and we finish in the bottom 5 and snag a top 3 pick, Stamkos has to at least entertain a meeting with Murry. We have the money and a lot of talent already. If they can add the Dman and another high pick, that has to be enticing for someone who's looking to win in the near future.

That's not wrong. While most players I'd say you get the first crack at signing him you know the ball is totally in his court and if he wants to test the market he's going to test it. I have only about 5% hope

Trade Fasching + for that top pair young defenseman
(Bc he has high value right now & I don't think Ennis or Girgensons can get who we'd want)

We do those 2 things...
I think we look pretty attractive to Stamkos
And I'm doing everything Possible to get him here

Murray made it seem like he never even tried to move Johnson. He said teams called and I forgot the exact words he said but something like "Teams checked in but didn't really seem serious" He never actually thought about moving Legwand or Johnson. I'm sure if a team called and offered literally anything for either he would have taken it but he wasn't trying to move them. Also made it seem like he didn't even attempt to move roster players like Franson or Foligno or Larsson. Not trying to say your source is wrong but maybe misguided or misinformed?

He's been having Reinhart at center and Girgensons on the wing exclusively. In addition he's way more likely to try Eichel with Moulson because he's desperate and hopes his roommate can bail him out.
