We went over this about a month ago. Buying out Moulson only hurts us in the long run. If we did it would be after next season, unless they think they can get Eichel and Reihart and Risto for cheap.
- Wetbandit1

Wave Moulson, nobody claims, stash in AHL, so what about money (Pegula).

He's 24...
- Sabresfan-365

You are correct 365. Earlier today NHL Network had him listed at 30. My fault.

We get it - you don't want to hear about people's inside info

[quote=Zschalberg]Because other teams want our dead weight? C'mon now. No one wants Moulson, Gionta, etc. This is your 2016-2017 Sabres minus a new shiny toy and with a few guys who will leave July 1st. Expecting anything else and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

He didn't exist when the Tallinder trade happened.

And I thought Beezer was the one who posted the Tallinder trade. How can people forget about Beezer?

- Mentalorgasm5

What about Homer??

Only a fraction of the money comes off the books, I believe.

39 was in here a few days ago saying that Ennis & Foligno were gonna be moved
That would presumably be for something "big"

I thought that was very unlikely to happen with Ennis' value probably being quite low

- jdfitz77

He also said 28 and 46 are gone.

I'm pissed we didn't get rid of any of the dead weight, wasted space that we have to sign to new RFA contracts at the end of the season when they should be traded
- bluengold12

What RFAs are u talking about that u don't want back?

very interesting aspect...remember how much flack he got for his "love affair" with McDavid?...and his supposed Canada-centric leanings towards players?...he could've had a good Canadian boy in stamkos, but chose to stick with the American...

*rubs chin*

- Michael Pachla

He chose to stick with an 18 year old that will be the face of the franchise for the next 15 or so years.

What about Homer??
- JVince11

I think Homer knew someone on Lindy's staff, and I think 89 knows someone. Other than that, it has been fakes, and people who found some info once, and now claim sources.

I knew about Patty Kane 2 days before that story broke. Do I have Chicago sources? No I got lucky and got some info before the story hit the press.

It doesn't matter because we have huge cap room. I just don't want to watch him "play" any longer. Just stash the man.

Dead weight. Larsson, Foligno, Franson
- bluengold12

It's still dead weight. No one wants Franson. Larrson you'll get a 6th for. Who cares that we didn't? Foligno you'll get a 5th? Are you mad we didn't get a 5th and a 6th? Are they really taking up that much space that Foligno, Larsson, and Franson are stopping us from doing anything?

If that's the case hope you love having a losing team that is bottom 5 in goals for again and an arena that rivals Florida in terms of crowd level

Also doesn't make sense to me
Again, low value for 28
And Franson has a year left. Most teams aren't gonna want that contract. I think we move 46 at next year's deadline
