Girgensons, at the wing in the top six, is at his unnatural position and lacks elite offensive touch; at center, he is best suited for a third line shut down role and top penalty kill minutes.

Given Larsson's play at the third line shut down center this season, Girgensons' durability with the way he plays the game, and Buffalo's the high potential to add a top six winger (hopefully one of the Finnish wingers), he is a very tradeable asset that is attractive to other teams.
