It would be interesting to see the total number of goals, the percentage of PP goals per overall NHL goals scored for the the collective 30 teams and the average amount of PP time for an NHL team.

There is going to be a lot of down time 5 on 5 and the stats are going to shoot up on PP time. That will show the importance of special teams, to stop PP's and to score on them.

I mean it's pretty obvious that your chance to score goes up significantly on the pp, and in a low scoring league that makes a huge difference.

The research is easy. I posted it earlier. The teams that score a high % of there goals on the PP are a lot of the lower scoring teams.

There is literally no disputing that 5 on 5 is twice as important as special teams. Any dispute would be anecdotal. Like pointing out singular games and using them as examples.
