No I think we wanted the above two. Both LHD. Tampa wants a RHD which is what Vatanen is. If they give him away we probably won't be able to get Fowler.

Do I think trading way girgensons will haunt us forever maybe but I'm willing to take the shot with Jonathan Drouin we have to take a risk sometime

What's the love everyone has for this kid? I mean, sure he has potential, but so did Yakupov right? I'm not saying I wouldn't take him for say, ennis, a prospect(s) and two picks (no 1sts), but all he has at this point is potential.

People bashed TM for trading a 1st for a goalie that only showed potential and trading two kids with loads of potential for ROR, yet now people are praying he goes out and takes a gamble with another kid with potential.

Again, I'll take young talent any day as long as it doesn't cost and arm and leg, anything more than what I mentioned above, I'll pass and focus on trying to secure a D man......Or a coach

We don't have anything as good as what they're offering if that's what they want. A young defenceman in the NHL all ready. Maybe Pysyk but he's not on Vatanen's level.

He has potential to breakout like Evgeny Kuznetsov he was buried on the 4th line last year and look at him this year he's playing with talent and he's a potential all-star player..

I know junior hockey doesn't matter but the things that Jonathan Drouin did which is absolutely incredible and he did it without Nathan MacKinnons help which everyone thought he was the main reason why he was good

Its a shame. He was never going to be a superstar, but the oilers should have seen in preseason and the first few games of the regular season that he wasn't ready and shipped him to the AHL. A few years there would have made him much better, not superstar, but better.

Oilers were desperate and rushed him out there and now have a wasted first overall. It's like the Browns in the NFL, they get a new QB and ruin any potential to make him better by starting him within the first seven games and then they never develop. granted none of them were ever studs, but none of them ever had a chance.

Last night I believe the exact quote was 28 and 46 are on their way out, today....

From what I know,the,sabres havent even landed from the west coast. Have a few sabres in neighborhood,they are not home. The trades will come later or tomorrow. I am telling you guys, 46 and 28 they want to move . Mcginn will be gone and as I said two weeks ago 46,22 and 82 they want to move. Rob Ray backed those exact three a a week later. Obviously wanting to move guys but trying to get what you want is different
