he's a solid utility guy. can pot 20. i'm fine with this.
- hammarby31

read is a solid role player too

difference is homer gave him a lot more money

maybe read has a slightly better scoring touch then raffl
both are role guys

I like the deal, it encourages me both the $s and term

I think hexy is going to manage the cap really well

what about Leier?
- Marc D

You said we could trade Raffl but we need to ice a team next year. I'd take the picks and run with Leier replacing Raffl.

that makes a small team even smaller

but I think Leier may be a valid option
maybe he replaces Read at some point

haters gonna hate

guy goes up and down the line up
versatile, ufa, it's a good fair deal man

the last gm would have given more $s and longer term

hexy is the man

- Marc D

rather see him traded to open up a spot for our younger players

Gagner needs to go. Someone should pick him up.

I would love to see Read's money off the cap heading into the offseason as well. He's on the steady decline. I think other teams also see that though.

Pittsburgh or NYR has to be the next stop.

Although when you're placed on waivers at the deadline that really means you have zero value.

Slight overpayment on Raffl. But not crazy. I'd rather have him then sell low on him.
How often do third round picks become contributing roster players? 25% maybe

That was more Boston's ineptitude than anything, all other fan bases were amazed by that deal when it went down. Kudos for being able to trade the horrible contract he negotiated i suppose. Outside of Ghost have the Flyers hit on any pick beyond the first round in the last 20 years?

best part, no awful ntc/nmc included

I would be happy if they never gave another one of those in a deal

Yeah. Not a bad deal. He's a versatile player. Can pot 15, responsible in his own end.

If Hextall can get rid of Amac or Umberger tomorrow would be amazing

they may have to buy out RJ and let Amac play it out, don't think anyone is touching that deal with the cap going down

actually Amac with Gost looks more then half decent right now

they need an upgrade to Manning and getting MDZ back would help alot next year

Hope Provorov is ready!

They want to keep raffl fine but it better not be anymore than 1.5 or 1.75 per the guy can skate and can bang a little bit. The guy has rocks for hands and the coach doesn't trust him for special teams so why am I giving much a crap about him
- Just5

sorry bud
