What about Baptiste? He was a beast in Junior. Clearly, Bailey's passed him in the system. Are they too much alike? If so can Baptiste be a throw in chip to get us a "playa". I wish MSG would show some Amerks games.
- Khmylev

TW sports channel shows some throughout the year

Baptiste has nice speed, & was a good scorer in juniors.
He doesn't play as physical as Bailey, especially in front of the net.
Bailey had passed him,
But I think Baptiste is still a good prospect who will be an NHL player
He's just gonna need more time in the AHL
Most of our prospects will need a couple years in Rochester
And that's fine, Let them work on all parts of their game.
We have so many young guys up here already,
That we'll have very few roster spots that open up from year to year.
We've got plenty of time to develop most of these guys.
There's no hurry

I think he has two more years after this season. Idk I don't see Murray moving him unless he gets a killer return. Not because of his play, just because Murray gave up two 2nds for him, not too long ago.

Unless he is going to move him at a loss, just so he can shred some salary for the upcoming offseason.

- Mentalorgasm5

Also bc we would need to bring in someone to replace him.
That might not be all that easy to do.
We could end up keeping Georges, and having him move down the lineup as our young guys progress

They got Reimer for practically nothing. We'd be lucky to get a 5th for Johnson.

How many goalies does Dallas need though?
At this point, Murray might just wanna take whatever he can get for Johnson

Whelp... Looks like we're stuck with Johnson...

I guess we could sign him for a 1 year 1 million dollar deal.

or just sign him to a one-year extension...

be worth more than a paltry 4th or 5th rounder, which would only add to the gazillion 4th-7th round picks they already have the next two drafts

I appreciate Murray's ballsy requests, but we need to unload while we still can. The way trades are going down this weekend Monday is going to be extremely slow. Not as many buyers this year and with Toronto low balling we really have our work cut out.

I wouldn't be opposed to re-signing him for a year, gives Ullmark a chance to develop.

Just looking at the numbers both Johnson and Reimer have near identical GAA and Sv% this season. Most we're getting for him now is a 4th/5th

seems like that 2018 sjs 4th would turn into a 3rd if the Sharks make the SCF...

so...

with Chicago and los angeles in the conference, looks like the leafs will receive a 2018 4th-rounder in the deal

I'd be ok with that
I think Ullmark should play next year as the "starter" in Rochester all year
No more of this rotating starts with 2 other goalies nonsense
Let Makarov go back to Russia if he wants
Keep Lieuwen as his backup
Let Kasdorf start for our EHCL team & then join Rochester the following season when Ullmark comes up to Buffalo

Doubled down with a source today: Nothing cooking between L.A. and Buffalo other than tonight’s game. No trade chatter. #Sabres

That's what I'm saying. Guessing he'll want a multi year deal though. 2-3 years. Hopefulluy Murray makes it clear it would only be on year.

Edmonton and Toronto low balling everyone makes Murray's attempt to make the Sabres better quicker, more difficult.

This trade sort of balances out with the 2 2nd rouders for Polak/Spaling. Maybe they had that in mind with this deal.
