SJ has given up 12 goals in the past 3 games with losses to Carolina and Colorado in there.

They also gave up 6 goals to the Flames and the Preds earlier this month.

They either win 2-1 or lose 5-2 it seems.

I'd like to see Ullmark as the starter in Rochester next year
He looks like he could really be something, and I don't think we need to rush him up here

Petersen should stay at Notre Dame
With Lehner & Ullmark ahead of him, best to take our time developing him as well

Kasdorf is probably overrated IMO
His stats are good, but he's actually being outplayed by his backup (Cam Hackett), who's only a freshman... I'd actually really like us to draft him

Kasdorf prob goes to the ECHL to start, with Ullmark & Lieuwen in Rochester
Seems like Makarov is headed to Russia
At least that's how I'd do it

- jdfitz77

Kasdorf has a 2.16 GAA and a .935 S%
Hackett has a 2.34 GAA and a .933 S%

Hackett has a better record at 6-2-2 while Kasdorf is 10-10-4 as the full-time starter not getting hand selected games handed to him.

I'm lost.

Ya it seems like a classic case of a struggling team "finding themselves" against the good ol' sabres....

...*sigh* some day we won't be the metaphorical rebound for struggling teams

Perfect yet odd situation with the goalie linked to your team playing against you tonight. Maybe if he wins St Louis will overpay for him as they have a habit of over paying for our goalies..
- bluengold12

Was watching NHL live the other night on NBCsports & they told an interesting trade deadline story...

The Oilers were playing at the Rangers & the 2 teams made a Doug Weight for Esa Tikkanen trade right before the game...
They literally took their gear from one locker room to the other & played that night

Maybe that happens tonight with Johnson/Stalock?

#1 overall Quinnipiac just had to take RPI to overtime to beat Kasdorf too. I don't understand your hypothesis here.

So who's going for what by the deadline?

I'm calling Ocho Not Cinco to SJ for a 4th, McGinn to Florida for a 2nd and a 4th next year and (the shot in the dark) Foligno and a 3rd goes to the Preds for a Jack Dougherty. What do you all think?

How are u lost?
Their stats are VERY close

And the FRESHMAN has a MUCH better record than the REDSHIRT SENIOR

10-10-4 is not good when your backup is 6-2-2, "handpicked" games or not

If Kasdorf was all that good he should be outperforming this kid by quite a bit

There was actually talk that Kasdorf wouldn't even be the starter this year...
But the guy RPI thought was gonna come be the starter decided to go to the WHL (I believe) instead

Didn't realize that Compher was #3 in all of NCAA hockey in terms of points.

Fasching tied for #29.

WPG's Kyle Connor leads the way.

Undrafted 22 year old Andrew Poturalski from Williamsville, NY is 2nd in NCAA in points as a sophmore at New Hampshire. (22 goals and 48 pts in 32 games).

Might be a nice college pick up later this year if possible?

Well I'll say their stats are so close that he isn't being outplayed, he's being matched. Which looks more to a point of how the other guy has been than suggesting Kasdorf has been bad. I know nothing of the guy, but to say he's overrated and the other guy is good when they have the same numbers, age or not and especially at goaltender, is a bit out there.

But your point is seen, the other guy is doing well.

I don't know why tampa would do this. If they werent going to the playoffs it would make sense. But if they wait until after the deadline, anyone they acquire for him, wouldn't he able to play in the playoffs.

Compher was the one I was upset to lose. And I'd be good with picking him up. He'd have to go to Rochester or the Sabres since once he signs he can't play in college.

Okay.... Kasdorf is top 20 in GAA in college of goalies who have played 33% of team's games and is top 3 in SV% if I remember right.
