Girgensons on his own doesn't get you fowler. However that being said, I want no part of Cam fowler

http://public.tableau.com...5P7F8K?:display_count=yes

These are Bogosian like stats on a great team, which is incredibly alarming.

My dear friend: you HAVE to know by now.

Hold up so people want cam flower when they hated Myers that makes complete sense
- gerbe75pts

To be fair I liked Myers. I like Cam Fowler too. I don't think anyone can deny the D core would better with either guy on it right now. Including Bogosian on the team as well obviously

We shouldn't get too wrapped up in this road trip
O'Reilly is a HUGE loss, and these are 3 really good teams we're playing
It's going to be a rough couple weeks without ROR,
Both offensively & especially defensively

- jdfitz77

Yup. But, they need to learn how to win without him too. Time for Eichel to put the team on his back a bit. I know he's only 19 and it's his first season, but he's really supposed to be "the guy" here.

**DISCLAIMER:** I'm not criticizing what he's accomplished this season. I've really liked his game. Would just be nice to see him pick it up a bit in O'Reilly absence is all.

Right?
U see it all over the league
Remember when we had Vanek & Roy killing it on our 3rd line?

We're going to have a heck of a top9
All I want is them grouped in ways that they're producing
Idc at all what "line" this guy or that guy is on

Interesting how it later came out that Eichel wanted us to lose the lottery because this is where he wanted to end up.

Anaheim fans seem to have the perception that he is their best all around dman. Those stats are a 3 year span and may not reflect his improvement this year. Jury's out imo.
- TheSabresTaco

CF% and CA60 are the telling ones. I don't think Fowler would work well on this team.

http://stats.hockeyanalys...p=1&sort=PCT&sortdir=DESC

Edit: In layman terms for a team thats so damn good at possessing the puck and has great 2 way forwards he doesn't do so well particulary in the top pair role at suppressing shots against and possessing the puck.

Our top 2 centers are 19, and the top line center has played RW all season.

Push em out of the plane, they're ready.

I though the "these are bogosian like stats on a great team which is incredibly alarming" bit kind of took care of that

I feel like Bogos feels pressure to produce offensively. He plays differently in Buffalo. I like his tenacity but he needs to learn to be a bit more of a stay at home defense-men. Most of his defensive mistakes seem to come when he is trying to get too involved in the offense.

Against these teams, and with all the other young guys around him...
U might be asking too much
Kopitar is ridiculous, and Thornton still has it.
The thing Jack & Sam might really be able to take away from this road trip is the realization of just how far they still need to go to be top players like these guys

Ahhh.

It's a dry one that I have now. The killer is a 15" pc of 1-1/2" pvc (painted pink) with a fitting screwed in the side. Works great

Do remember all the ice, jack, vodka concoctions we tried . now that stuff just makes a mess.

I've never clamored for him. In saying that, he's a decent defensemen, probably in the right scenarios.

If GMs use advanced analytics to leverage a trade, I'd guess he'd be less expensive than people think he would be.

I hope you don't think that I'm saying that we should "throw them to the wolves" so to speak. I would just really like for one of them, mostly Eichel, to step his game up now. Even just a bit.

I love what I've seen from both of them this year though. The growth in Reinhart has been amazing. He's struggled at center since O'Reilly went down, but making the adjustment from W to C isn't a super easy one. That's another reason why, if anyone is going to step it up a bit, it should be Eichel.

That said, I'd like to see Girgs step it up a bit for a while too with O'Reilly out.

Okay then Girgensons and a 3rd for Fowler or if not Fowler another one of their D. I just think he'd be the most attainable and has been linked to Murray
- bluengold12

When it comes to searching for another top pairing D, this shouldn't be the process. Find the guy who is the best fit and make an offer they can't refuse.

For Kane and Bogo it may have been bad. But for a legit top pairing guy there is really no deal that doesn't include a major core piece that could be considered an overpayment, in fact id consider it a steal if we could get one with out giving up a guy like reinhart or the 2016 1st.

Doesn't have to necessarily happen in the next 2 games. I'm sure Eichel is not happy about being owned in the faceoff circle last night. They need to use these games as a learning experience though, for sure. I don't expect them to dominate against guys like Kesler, Getzlaf, Thornton or Kopitar right now. But that still doesn't mean they don't have the ability to put the team on their back and get a win either.

Nah, I know you're more rational than that. We don't even really have a choice in the matter.
The whole team needs to step up. It's painfully obvious how much of a lynch pin ROR is. At least he's earning his future contract.
I hope it's Eichel who steps up too. But it's gonna be pretty hard on those two. We'll see if they evolve.

I made it through the 1st period. Fell asleep as soon as intermission started for the most part. It was later than I really wanted to be up, since I've been getting up at 5:30 am these days.
