I am sure the ending was all Hollywood, but the rest is great.

Hoosiers was a great movie and I was always a Gene Hackman fan, back to the days of French connection, Poseidon adventure, etc.

"I'm gonna nail you for picking your feet in Poughkeepsie."

He was great in "Crimson Tide" too. An awesome 90's Tony/Ridley Scott action movie. The soundtrack alone is amazing.

Apparently he's a huge bumhole, and on the set of "The Royel Tenenbaums" he terrorized everyone, I'm ok with terrorizing Gwyneth Paltrow though . The only one who would stand up to him was Bill Murray, so every day Gene Hackman worked, Bill Murray was also on set even if he wasn't shooting that day just to keep him in line.

Also, how has no one brought up "The Replacements" which Gene Hackman was also incidentally in? That movie is hilarious.

Yeah, he is screwed.

Must have claimed something that he should not have. Hopefully by mistake.

He's only 19 or 20, how much trouble could he possibly get into? Meaning it's not like he's making a ton of money and tried to deduct hundreds of thousands of dollars that otherwise would be taxable income. So he probably pays a fine, what he owes and that's that, just have to be careful for the next 5 years, or however long they take an extra close look at you after an audit.

It could also be one of the very small number of random audits they do every year too, just to keep everyone honest.

Since it's not the deadline, they'll just adjust it, unless he's right and they're wrong. And sometimes they are wrong. I doubt a fine.

This is a good list.

I like Shawshank, but I was a little disappointed. I saw it very late after everyone said how great it was and there was a big twist at the end. I guess the twist was that Andy escaped, but I was hoping for more.

I thought it would have been better if it ended with Red going to the tree to find the box that Andy buried to see that inside was the gun that never was found. Proving that Andy, was indeed, the killer.

Honestly there's no way I could pick a favorite movie, or even a top 10. But some of my favorites have to be. Almost Famous is a great movie, just not sure it's one of my favorites.

12 Angry Men
The Shawshank Redemption
The Godfather
Heat
Super Troopers
The Great Escape
All the President's Men
The Silence of the Lambs
The Hunt for Red October
Major League
Airplane!
Tropic Thunder(One of the most beautifully shot movies ever)
Top Gun
The Blues Brothers
Spaceballs
Clerks

Ok, I'll stop there. I could go on for a very long time.

Not every movie needs a twist. For me why I love it is the epic story line, incredible acting and great feel to it.

Is that how they do it? That's incredibly quick then.

It might not be for last year either. I got a letter in 2007 or 8 I can't remember about a problem from 2003.

Spoilers!!! lol

I don't think that was a very big twist. ¾ of the movie is about him digging the tunnel. It's like saying "the guys escaping in 'The Great Escape' was a twist" even though most got caught/killed, but a few made it all the way home.

Ah, so it is. I didn't see the original post, only saw the quote. Still though it could be any number of things like a random audit, or a problem from a previous year, or just a question on the way a certain deduction was made and there was no ill-intent. And he'll/she'll just pay the difference. They will hound you and hunt you until the end of the Earth for "their" money.

Yeah. Stephen King doesn't get enough credit for that kind of story. The "Green Mile" while not quite as uplifting as Shawshank was another touching movie about redemption.

He said it was the first time he did it so I guess last year. I screwed up last year and they just corrected it in my favor. I don't worry about backtracking since I'm on their watch list.

Most likely the numbers don't match the IRS documents (W-2, 1099, etc.) they have on file and are having trouble tying out the numbers. He either left off an item completely or used a wrong number somewhere and they can't figure out where.

This is the best hockey movie ever made.

Made for TV Canadian movie. Spear Kozak scored 76 goals for Mr. Lumbers team and Cathy Yarrow was a great goalie. How Spear supported Cathy was the foundation of their young love.

I used to watch that movie all the time. I had a VCR recording of it as a kid!

obviously not 1 for 1 but as the main piece i could definitely see it. That team is heavy in analytics and pysyk is still cost controlled.

I know it's not as big as you'd expect for a former 3rd overall pick but if nobody else is offering anything better...

- Sabresfan-365

I think that is a stretch. Pysyk has such a limited sample size.
