Not sure many deals more deals will be made before Friday. How many extra bodies did they bring out west? It's a long flight from Rochester/Buffalo to the west coast unless they get one back from Anaheim or another west coast team. They already lost Weber, Franson seems to be out. That leaves them with 21 players if they went there with 23.

No word here on TJ Miller, the fourth Hanson brother? Or am I just tragically late to that party?

They absolutely would. Rattie's not some fresh new prospect, he's 23 years old with 5 pts in 11 games.

I don't think McGinn and a 3rd gets him but a 2017 1st? They'd take that and run.

- Sabresfan-365

Fair enough...
I didn't realize his stats were down this year
I know when we were talking with StL about Miller & Ott they wouldn't include Rattie in the deal & we settled for Carrier instead
They've thought very highly of him for a while...
But it looks like he's had a down year,
And some other guys have passed him in the depth chart
So maybe the trade u suggested isn't too far off after all
Worth finding out at least

This article lists the worst deadline trades in the last decade, problem is they have the wrong player the Sabres drafted (Zads). If you flip it and it was one of the worst trades, it was one of the best made. First trade made by GMTM:

The Deal: Ryan Miller was traded from the Buffalo Sabres with Steve Ott to the St. Louis Blues for William Carrier, Chris Stewart, Jaroslav Halak, a first-round pick in the 2015 draft (Jack Roslovic) and a third-round pick in the 2016 draft, reported Adam Gretz of CBS Sports.

The Result: Ryan Miller's tenure in St. Louis lasted just four months and a grand total of 25 games, but the St. Louis Blues still haven't finished paying for their decision to bring him in as their high-profile goaltender for the 2014 playoffs.

The Blues were eliminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in six games in the first round, but they still owe the Buffalo Sabres one more third-round draft choice in June in addition to the 2015 first-rounder and the players they've already handed over.

St. Louis learned the hard way—the Sabres are doing an excellent job of biting the bullet and getting top returns for their veterans as they enter their rebuilding phase.

Two members from the lightning are on the scouts manifest for Sabres Ducks game along with Blues GM Doug Armstrong.

I'd bet Armstrong is there for Buffalo players. Is Anaheim in the Drouin sweepstakes?

Anaheim is definitely in it, not really sure what STL wants from us, they're pretty deep as is. Figured they would swing for the fences this time around (i.e drouin)

Two sabre scouts at lighting vs hurricanes the other night. 4th period says we might be looking at Skinner but maybe they were looking at lightning ?
