could not have said it better.

Having said that, what team are you following and cheering for this week?

"He's a 2way player that can play in any situation + up + down in our lineup. He can play LW, he can play centre." - Benning on Granlund

Not according to our all knowing GM

Crouse would be pretty sweet

Think something like
Hudler
Klimchuk

for

Crouse

Would fly?

Imagine if we missed the playoffs and drafted Lawson Crouse 11th overall. Then traded him for a rental and a lemon the next year.

I am thinking a 2nd line of Shink-Bennett-Poirier could give teams night mares in a couple years.

This move makes absolutely no sense for Van.

Dude I was just thinking that. If Poirier rounds out his game that line would be insane.

I think Florida is going to want to try and cash in as much as possible on the Jagr train. Ownership would love an extended playoff run and the Panthers need secondary scoring. I don't think it would be too difficult for the Panthers to sign Huds. Florida is a young up and coming team, and Jagr is a Czech god. Playing with one of your idols in perhaps his last kick at the can could be a huge draw for Jiri.

Edit: They might be more interested in guys like Jooris, Colborne, Bollig, Bouma rather than a prospect. I'd also be open to that.

Just watching Sportsnet. Calgary scouts at Montreal game, reporter says Montreal wants Backlund so Flames are looking into whom they could potentially want in return. Considering all of the years with a lack of center depth not so long ago in Calgary Im not sure how excited I am to see two solid two way centers leave in such short order!

Really the only forward I kinda like is Gallagher, and I doubt Montreal is trading him. Someone said Fucale earlier, but I really don't think he's the answer to our problems right now. He must not be ready if Montreal's continuing to go with Condon and Scrivens despite how poopty they've been the last few months.

Weisbrod to Vancouver was the best move the Pacific division made, this guy has Benning's ear and Benning's asset/cap management sucks. Plus the owner is in denial.

The perfect storm.

Granlund plays well on the wing too. His numbers this year are a result of inconsistent utilization.

why does vancouver need another center or winger we are already tossing them in the minors.

Vey is injured?

Sutter is injured?

Vrbata is day-to-day?

Benning is a bad GM?

Weisbrod won't stop until he acquires every player he drafted when he worked for Calgary?

Vancouver always has room for more plugs?

Cracknell probably shouldnt be an NHLer?

Pick any of those answers.

I like the way he plays though. If he was a little bit bigger he'd be the prototypical Burke player. Him and Bennett could sure cause some poop together, you'd almost have to have Ferland on their line at all times for backup

Not really sure why all the Canucks fans are so cranky about this. Trade seems like a wash. Both players put up similar numbers in the AHL. They're both about the same tier of prospect, and Grandlund has already shown he belongs in the NHL and is a centre.

Wow has the Van thread changed opinion. Earlier they were jumping out of buildings and now they figure they won the trade.

I honestly have no idea who won. I think Grans has good potential and I had heard Shin had an attitude problem. And a lot of people on this thread agreed with his attitude problem after the draft but now it seems he's the greatest...

In other news. Wideman will miss at least 11 games before his appeal will be heard. What a (frank)ing load of poop, if it gets reduced there is no way to get those games back Imagine if this happened last year and it kept us out of the playoffs and we finished 9th The appeal process needs to be fixed because that sure as (frank) isn't very fair.

Yeah about a week ago shink could do no wrong and was part of their future ...now he is a prospect who probably wouldn't have made it

Maybe we should bring him up and put him on the top line for a few games then trade him for something better than granlund
