Not really prompted by anything on this thread, but:

I really think Bailey for Hartnell would make sense for both teams. CBJ gets younger and cheaper, Isles get a little better in the near term and bring a little more toughness to their top 9.

The Rangers would make that kind of move. It is time for the Isles to do so.

While every islander fan would love that trade idk if the blue jackets do it. Might have to throw in a little more like a 2nd or something

There's really not much available. Too many teams near the bubble and looking to make a few bucks trying for the playoffs.

Not going too far without some kind of depth upgrade. Need more to compete with teams like Washington. Can't stand pat again this year...hell playoffs still not a guarantee.

Yeah, I don't think Bailey is a Tortorella-type player. Bailey is a little bit too laid back for Torts. Plus, Bailey has never seen a check he couldn't avoid....

He's not but in all seriousness, Bailey's cap hit is relatively low & manageable for a 3rd line W position and that teams prob covet in exchange for another higher contract...

Doubt it would happen. How many teams bring back players they let go? I'm thinking with the Rangers one of the few I could remember was Kovalev. Not sure about the Isles.

Moulson in Buffalo after he was traded to Minny. Although not the same scenario.

One of these days someone should ask Coach Cap where he lives... I think this would really add a lot to this comment section.

and one that looks horrid for buffalo as predicted when they signed him. That's going to be a buyout situation this summer.

Garth should not even bother. What are these two going to do during a tough playoff series?

I love when these NY post articles state the Isles are 28th in attendance. If they sold out every game (including the 1500 obstructed views seats) they would move up 3 spots to 25th. They are selling 13,400 seats in a building that hold 15,5 ish. They did not have a stadium series game to inflate their home numbers like other teams too.

I would like to see ACTUAL attendance instead of Sold Seats too..

Maybe there's just a lot of Michael Jackson fans in Buffalo and they haven't let go since his death
