and larsson can play well on the third line, with a cheaper contract and gus can be a piece in a trade to get a top 3 d man or a top 6 winger

assuming this coach is not going to commit to playing him on the second line wing, where he should be playing once moulson stinks and ennis has a run in with a toilet after stinking up first niagara center

Legwand is a UFA
I think Schaller actually takes Legwand's spot next year

- jdfitz77

Right, I think it would be good for schaller to learn from that role before he leaves

Girgensons has been playing in the top6 though
Not that I hate your idea,
But he seems to have found chemistry with Eichel. Bylsma said he likes them together, so I don't think he's being taken out of the top6 any time soon

I don't believe Zemgus will be in remotely expensive in any way, and I'd much rather keep the better player which he clearly is over Larsson, but that said, the part in bold is I believe the biggest reason they keep him.

I still think he is going to be a special player. Unless the return is huge I keep him.

Ok, I see what you're saying
U want Schaller up here now. That makes sense.
There's a good chance Legwand is traded though.

stinks

he was behind the 8 ball playing in the ahl at a young age, the lack of quality centers in rochester is still probably holding him back. A price to pay when you take 4 centers in the first rd in 4 years and none are in rochester

- homiedclown

Very good point. Mentioned earlier Rochester just needs some fresh faces and a steady goalie with nhl upside (Ullmark just received player of the week).

Yeah sorry lol i had a few posts after that one.

IMO schaller is currently our best nhl ready player on the merks.
NOT saying highest upside just best suited for his role

He's been on a tear lately... 45 GP 9 G 14 A 23 Pts. Plus 13. On a team that gives up a lot of goals. I'd say he's worth a call up here. See what he's got.

Seems like homie said . all the decent picks pretty much have skipped the ahl for us. And has left the Amerks with nuttin.

Someone mentioned Possler earlier. I believe I remember reading about a year ago that he may not even come to North America or he wouldn't unless he was in the NHL. He also hasn't ever been here for development camp as far as I can remember.

For sure, He also mentioned the effect it has on E ROD, Bailey, Baptiste, carrier.
Honestly they played better when schaller went down

Bylsma said Cody Franson (head/neck) will make the California trip. #Sabres

Trade still a possibility!

Where did I say I was offended? I simply said this is not the place for that topic. You want to discuss politics or the such, find a political message board.

You seem to have some sort of issue with me these days, which is fine. I couldn't possibly care less. But you've been pretty rude and just nasty to me overall lately. Maybe it's time to go get the stick that's in your ass removed.

Most would prob agree with you
I think Schaller will be our 4th line center next year
Idk that anyone else will make the roster opening night unless we have some injuries
Bailey looks to be the next closest,
But I think it'll be good for his overall game to stay in the AHL for another season
He prob takes Gionta's spot on the roster after next season

I think he'll be moved with us keeping some of his salary for next season
Not sure that Georges will be traded unless the return is too good to pass up. Even though it's not ideal, we still depend on him as Risto's partner for now

I think this is true. Cornell, Fasching, Olofsson, Florentino and B. Martin joining Bailey, Carrier and Baptiste should be a nice face lift.
Only issue is the centers that homie mentioned are all on the sabres

Maybe that's where a guy like Mark McNeil(or someone like him) as Pach mentioned comes in.

As I mentioned earlier I remember reading Oloffsson may not come over. Hasn't been to any Sabres development camps and I recall reading he didn't want to play in the AHL. This was over a year ago though so maybe things have changed.
