Longest point streak by a D man(rookie or otherwise) in 20 years.

First rookie to ever score 4 OT goals.

Gonna be really tough for any of the other young D to top what Ghost has managed to do -- kid has the midas touch so far.

I would like to trade Schultz and leave Macdonald in . He is actually playing much better. Still lot worth the contract but better. Schultz is a disaster. By the love of god play the 4th line fourth line minutes; or less

I finally got to see schenn at center. He looked good! One game though. Keep him there. I like idea of g,schenn, coots as the three centers.

Bruce Garrioch from the Toronto Sun newspaper is saying Hextall will be active in the next week looking to trade Schultz, Streit, and Read.

I am a little bit wary of reaching any conclusions about the Flyers against last night's version of the TMLs. The third line being legit or BSchenn being good at center. I'm glad they had a good game but that D they went up against is as bad as our D.

I think we can say Gostisbehere is pretty good though.

Is Ghost really keeping #53? He'd have gotten rid of it by now right?

Does Ghost have a Calder winning bonus in the contract? All rookie team? Would it not matter for next year if the Flyers have space this year to absorb it?

I wonder if there are buyers for these guys. Streit has not been the same since his surgery, Read is a good player but is paid a lot and Schultz is in reality just a #6-7 depth guy on a contending team.

I never thought they could move VLC though so I'd be happy to be wrong again.

Schultz has a value because a team going deep in the playoffs there is a high likelihood that team is going to use more then 6 dmen. IMO, GMs place a premium on veteran dman more so then fans. I think Hexy can at least get a third rounder for Schultz, maybe even a 2nd rounder.

I could see a team like Dallas possibly having a need for Streit...maybe it's just wishful thinking but like you said if VLC can get moved anything can happen

Any idea of when Del Zotto is coming back?
They are still in range of a wild card spot and I think Hexy might have a hard time trading guys like Streit if they still have a chance. Especially with MDZ on the shelf.

I think he should sell anyway but it kind of sends a bad message to the guys fighting to make the playoffs.

Medvedev got injured last night. So depending on how serious his injury is, Hextall may not be able to trade him. At the time Del Zotto got injured, Hextall said weeks, if not months. I doubt he's ready to return anytime soon.

Streit's an assistant captain, I have a feeling he will stay. I believe Medvedev took a puck off the leg earlier in the game. I think Schultz and/or Medvedev will go at the deadline. I'm hoping if either gets traded, they still let Manning be the 7th dman and promote Alt or Morin.

Streit more likely to be traded next year at the deadline imo. I doubt a team wants to carry the rest of his contract for the remainder of this season and all of next.

I thought Medvedev had a chance of being moved, but who knows now with the injury. Not sure Schultz has much value.

Yup. I believe Del Zotto was playing with an injury, and it got to the point where they decided to shut him down.

I believe we as fans devalue the importance of the vet dman in the eyes of GMs. Look at what Chicago was willing to give up for the corpse of Kimmo at the deadline last season. I don't even remember how many games Kimmo played before the deadline to even prove his ability recovering from blood clots.

Schlutz's cap hit is very reasonable for a 3rd pairing dman who can offer PK minutes. The issue right now with the Flyers dmen like Schultz and Gudas is they have to play too many minutes right now because of the lack of talent on the blueline. Get them on a deeper blueline and they are effective 3rd pairing dmen with reasonable cap hits. Same goes with Medvedev.

I think each of those guys is moveable. There are teams that would happily take Streit, MDV, Schultz and Read. It's just a matter of maximizing the asset. With the exception of MDV, all of those guys are signed through next season. Would it be better to wait for the summer or next year's trade deadline to make the move? Hexy said he had other deals on the table last year, but didn't make them. He said it was because he wanted to give them a chance to win, but it was really because he knew he could get more in the summer. He was right in regards to Grossmann.
