No way - he is gonzo. They'd have signed him by now if he was going to stay. He wants 11 - 12 a year and they offered 8.5.

I'm up in the air. Tampa has a real advantage by being able to sign him for 8 years as opposed to 7. Plus no state tax. Tampa would have to not budge at all, plus a team would have to offer 12 a year for him to really make more elsewhere

He's made a bunch of really nice plays. He's a 6'3 playmaking center. If he wasn't a top 15 pick I would wonder why

Player A: 4 goals, 13 assists in 51 games
Player B: 4 goals, 13 assists in 51 games

One of these players is Cody Franson. Care to guess who the other is?

The tax thing absolutely matters (a mill a year, from what I read). That still only gets you to 9.5. I don't think he plays for that coach again.

Talent doesn't always equal production for young players.

I have doubted his skating, and work ethic. One thing I have always noticed is that his hands, and passing are usually levels above most players

can you figure who these players are a second overall and 17th overall

55 GMS 17 goals. 9 assists. 26 pts
47 GMS.5 goals. 7 assists. 12 pts

The top 2 players play top 6 minutes averaging between 14 and 17 min a game
Grigorenko plus 4. Playing 4 th line
47 games. 4 goals 13 assists almost the same assists as the two above Combined

Tim Schaller could put up those numbers as a rookie. Look at the bright side - he is only 3 goals behind foligno.

I still don't get what that has to do with his talent level. Read any pre-draft scouting report on him. He was a top 5 talent

montour on his own is worth significantly more than mcginn. 38 pts in 44 gp in the AHL right now. Not saying it can't happen but the + would have to be on our end.

Interesting to see that fowler's got only 17 pts this year. He's supposed to be an offensive d-man no?

I wouldn't take him back if he were free. Phil Varone made a nice pass a couple of weeks ago.

Youre just being a hater. I always had high hopes for him, unfortunate it didnt work here.

I dont think he will ever be a top C or even a top flight 2C but he has more skill in his wrong hand than varone does in his dreams.

If colorado continues to play him with top players he will be serviceable. If he keeps improving i could see a 15g-35a guy.

Absolutely. As I said to you when the trade was made it hurt to lose Zads as he is a potential monster. People lament Comper being traded far more than grigs, and I think Comphers ceiling is 3C.

Avs have top end talent, they don't have quality Depth guys and D with Top pairing potential. Grigs and Compher add to the depth situation and Zads gives a serious Top pairing threat. ROR is the best player in the trade, but Avs didn't need the best player to be a win for them.

Love Grigs and his game maturing this year, Zads is scary in the AHL, and Compher is looking solid in his last season. I couldn't be more excited about the pieces, even if only some really pan out, some not all will and thats ok

Good chance some of them may be used as trade assets again (not a knock on them but they have value in that regard as well)

Pominville brought in Zads, Larsson, Hackett, Karabacek

Good chance all 4 could be gone by draft day.

We might have to give more than McGinn for Montour.

I wish Ennis was healthy so we could trade him.

A hater? No. You proved my point - he isn't a 1c or 2con a good team. Can he play in the league? Sure, why not. His ceiling is 'serviceable'. Nobody blinked when he was traded. I hope he pans out but I don't see it.

How do you draft a guy in the first round, have him stay with the big club and never playhim on the top line. He played on the 4 th line with a long list of sabre junk we put on there. do you know why, because for all these years we had darcy REGIER and lindy ruff. How are the Regier core players doing vanek, roy, pominville, miller and all the other junk they held onto. Now makarov is upset with the organization. We have never developed a great player in this organization
