Very risky for them, they get a 1D and a proven 3rd liner that can move up and down the line up and produce and we get a trash bag full of pucks.

Pittsburgh has moved a lot of their picks and prospects over the years to purchase rentals. What they have left in the system is bellow league average, but the fans and bloggers still have managed to inflate those players worth. It's just a pure homer article. Here's my counter offer: Carrier and Nevin for Malkin, pitt retains 50% of Malkin's salary.

Pach, you know I love you, but you're wrong on this one.

DLo gives us everything Kaleta ever did, and more of it. The Kaleta Era is over (thankfully in my opinion).

Deslauriers is a good penalty killer?
I actually can't ever even remember seeing him on the PK

Not that it is worth a damn.... but I'm bored and nothing looks like it is going on pertinent here.

But I always bring up Kaleta in my NHL game...

Him and Deslauriers on that 4th line just DESTROY people because I put the "hitting aggression" tab all the way up.

My money is still on Anaheim. I just don't even see how he would fit in here unless he or ROR were on the wing which both of them VEHEMENTLY said they don't want to be EVER.

The budget hockey team is going to give Stamkos a huge deal?

9M in cap room now and another 9M coming off the books. 2 big RFAs but otherwise a lot of young talent to surround Getz, Perry, Stammer, and Kesler with.

They are about the only contending team right now that could even afford it without mangling their team.

They're usually at that, because they're not a spend to the cap team. That's why all this talk about one of those RFA d-men being moved exists.

It's Toronto or TB

Well, ok, you're right on that one.

DLo gives us ALMOST everything that Kaleta does.

Something tells me this Toronto stuff is all media hype and he'll have little interest going there.

I think his first choice is to stay in tampa too but everyones reported that the situation between him and management is bad. If he hits FA (which seems to be what everyone is expecting) it will be Toronto vs the field.

I disagree. They played Stamkos like their 4th or 5th best forward last year during the playoffs. THey played him on the wing, when he should have been at center. Lots of growing speculation that he and the mgmt (Including coaching) staff don't see eye to eye.

Sorry I meant stay as in he'd want to live there but I agree he and mgmt aren't on the best of terms.

I've read that his family really likes Tampa and he's an avid golfer and plays on his off days during the season down there. There might be some friction between him and the team but would it be enough for him to walk away? Will Yzerman up his offer? Don't know.
