It's time for Kaleta to stay in the AHL and never get a an NHL contract again.

I don't see why people in Buffalo even like him. Just because he's a local boy doesn't mean he should on an NHL team.

Murray signed him, so he can't dislike him that much. For me, I like him because he goes all out all the time. He -somewhat stupidly- literally gives his body up for his team. How many times has he hurt his hand blocking shots? 3 or 4 times I think including the one where he broke his hand and was out for a while. Like Pach said he always sticks up for his teammates. There are many reasons why people like him. I'm surprised so many people hate him so much.

The fact that he is a local boy, busts his ASS every shift, sticks up for his teammates, is an asset on the penalty, and is a capable 4th liner when he's not doing stupid poop.

I mean the guy has scored 10 goals in a season before...its not like he's useless out there

Outside of the suspensions i don't get all the hate either, effective in certain situations, cheap, and always a team first guy

Kaleta is too reckless and a danger to himself. His brain must be scrambled from all the injuries. It's not worth signing a player who will spend 99% of his time on IR. If he wasn't so crazy and concentrated on his game, he could have been a decent player. He has some skill.

We're talking about a guy, that when referring to his talent, the word "marginal" is very generous. He adds nothing that someone else on this roster doesn't add already. Further, the whole point of this 3 year tear down and rebuild is to move on from the old group. Kaleta is part of that. Adding him to the roster makes this team worse, not improve it. Thankfully, it sounds like it's not anywhere near Tim Murray's mind.

I'm not saying we charter a plane for him and give him the key to the city when he gets there (o wait we did that for someone else and yes different sport) but i have no problem with him in Rochester with the chance of a short call up should the need ever arise

Right now, he's in Rochester on a minor league contract. The Sabres can't call him up unless they sign him to an NHL deal. It needs to stay that way.

In case anyone wanted an awesome fact of the day....

Sabre goalie prospect Kasdorf is #2 in all of NCAA with a .937 S% at RPI this year.

Not bad.

So I am doing some talking in my head.

IF Buffalo ends up with pick 6.

Does a package of

Buffalo first

for

Shattenkirk
Berglund

Make sense?

STL needs to clear cap space to sign Jaskin, Schwartz and if wanted re-sing Backes.

They have roughly $1MM in cap space right now.

I question on how bad the Leafs are and the Marlies are always in contention.

He shows up on the stat sheet on a reg basis. Our guys are lucky to be on the roster sheet the past couple years.
