I would be real cautious taking a bad contract back. We would be in the same boat in 2 yrs.

Oh I totally agree with you.. I don't want to take on a single bad contract if it lasts more than 1 more year after the year we take it.

I was merely saying that in order to get their premiere type guys off them... we have to take on I bet.

That I can live with. If we do get Stammer than we will need to choose wisely on how we sign the others. Ennis and Moulson are worth crap atm

Moulson I agree.

Ennis I still have hopes for. He is out with a concussion for close to 2 months now which is something to worry about long term but guys have come back like Crosby and been able to play strong.

I'm not giving up hope on Ennis. I still think he can be a very good top 6 player here in Buffalo with how young he is. Moulson... yikes.. IDK. buyout maybe? package with McGinn in a trade to a team looking for help at the deadlline... IDK.

I can't imagine anyone wanting Moulson at the deadline. No contender will wanna take on that contract with multiple years.
Maybe in the offseason for a team looking to hit the Cap floor?
We'd prob have to eat some salary too, but that shouldn't be a big deal... But it's a big IF, as far as someone actually wanting him

A lot of our guys had rough starts to the season
After a few solid years, I'm not gonna read too much into the rough patch he's had this year
I bet he bounces back next year
