Nikita Filitov and about 100 other former 1st round picks over the years had high end puck skill and never made it. Why? Bc they don't have the killer instinct to battle and compete against men with 20-40 lbs on them. I don't see anything from TT that makes him untouchable for the right return. His cap hit is nice but for how many games does he suck and Q keeps putting him in the lineup?? Put him on the RW with Panik and Toews and if he still isn't doing anything besides turn the puck over, he should be out of the lineup. The time to win the Cup is now. Who knows if TT will ever be anything more than a Nikita Filatov...

Who knows whether TT is a Filitov? The best organizations at evaluating. The ones, as Al often says, that sees the end of the movie before the others do.

Correct. Not LTIR. Also, reports are Vinny has been playing well as of late. I like his game and I think he will be fine.

IR only means you can add a player to the 23 player total roster. I don't think it has any effect on the cap or how long he is out for. LTIR means 10 games and 24 days. But you get cap relief. I think with Hinzo up and hossa on IR we should be right at the cap? and can place Kruger on LTIR.

You never know....they also could be showcasing him to make a deal rather than Dano or TT. Just saying.

Dano's only played 13 and many are suggesting he should be recalled. Not saying they're wrong.

Another young guy I'd like to see Stan go after is Curtis Lazar in Ottawa. Although he may be a bit too costly.

I don't think this kid will ever live up to where he was drafted, 17th rd 1, but IMO he will be a long time bottom 6 200 ft player for a decade plus. Great guy, great motor, good size, solid skater, good skill, captain material.

Bigger players had a real easy time of knocking the puck off his stick. That does not bode well for a possession team.

I watched Vinnie as a skill speed player in the USHL. To see him understand he was not going to be that at the highest level and adjust his game told me much. That's what impressed me with him at this level.

He has shown the ability to identify and adjust. Those are the first steps to becoming an NHLer if you don't have elite skills. Now if you want to say you'd rather see Dano called up I'm in 100% agreement with you.

I suppose another possibility is that one of the other youngsters is part of a trade discussion, and they want to see if Hinostroza will be adequate as a replacement.

I did like his compete level, also. Not sure if he was going to be NHL caliber, but he sure did try.

Dump Teuvo...he is the epitome of unfulfilled potential...falls every time a body is near him...loses the puck at almost every attempt to enter the zone...get something for him while everyone still thinks he is worth something.
