The Phantoms got pounded last night without MacDonald and Cousins. They really could have used Scott Laughton, so if he's not in the Flyers lineup today Hextall needs to explain WTF is going on. The kid should be playing somewhere, not sitting on his ass.

With McDonaugh concussed the Rangers are forced to hold onto Yandle, can't trade him now. And when he walks this summer, the Rangers screwed their future giving away all those picks and Duclair for 2 seasons of Yandle.

Performance bonuses (i.e. $215k for 20 goals, $215k for playing in all 82 games, etc.) are a maximum of $850k extra. Each "category" can only be a max of $215k.

The remaining bonuses, which are ~$2M and are the bulk of the bonus $$$ built into the deal are based on performance relative to other players in the league. Essentially, they can be "if you finish in the top 10 of points scored in the league" or "finish top 5 in the Selke voting".

The latter bonuses are essentially unattainable for a rookie even if they have a phenomenal season, except a bonus for finishing high in the Calder voting. Panarin will reach a lot of his individual performance bonuses but that only adds $850k.

The entire line struggled, so I get the switch. And frankly Laughts and Read are better. But if they're shopping Gagner, keeping him out for RJ is...actually per usual nvm.

I hope Gudas crosschecks Kreider in the head, then Kreider gets 5 and a game for retaliating by giving him a glove to the face.

I'd dangle him for a 1st and see if anyone bites. I'd happily take two 2nds or a 2nd and 3rd as well.

Hell, I'd take that 2nd and 3rd and buy off a team to take AMac with them.
